Adin Ross has called out Dr Disrespect for allegedly being dishonest regarding his intentions about streaming on KICK, stating that the popular streamer actively sought a deal with the platform.
Since his 2020 ban from Twitch, Dr Disrespect has established himself on YouTube. The Two-Time has been restricted from the Amazon-owned platform due to accusations linked to inappropriate interactions with minors and has faced demonetization on YouTube since then.
As KICK emerged onto the scene, Dr Disrespect hinted at the possibility of a transition to the new platform. However, he made it clear that he needed a significant sum, reportedly asking for at least $50 million to make the move, all while admitting he was in discussions regarding this opportunity.
In early October, KICK’s CEO, Ed Craven, mentioned that acquiring Dr Disrespect would be a “waste of money.” The streamer responded by declaring that he would not be bringing his community to KICK and that he would prefer to “retire” rather than join the site.
Now, Adin Ross has entered the conversation, accusing Dr Disrespect of not being truthful about his reluctance to explore the KICK opportunity.
“What he’s saying isn’t accurate. I can’t name names, but someone involved with the equity of KICK confirmed that serious discussions were ongoing with Dr Disrespect about joining KICK,” Adin stated.
“He asked for an excessive amount of money, which is why he got declined. Dr Disrespect, stop misleading your fans. You were looking to come to KICK. Conversations were in progress, but the financial offer did not meet your expectations.”

Despite initial financial investments by KICK to lure streamers away from Twitch, such efforts have since tapered off.
Craven also dismissed rumors surrounding a $5 million deal with ‘Hawk Tuah’ girl Hailey Welch, clarifying, “KICK hasn’t been issuing new contracts for some time.”
