Adin Ross is calling for stricter penalties for offending streamers on Kick, acknowledging that Ludwig’s criticisms of the platform were justified but noting that Twitch used to have similar issues.
TwitchCon San Diego 2024 ignited a fervent debate regarding Kick after several streamers from the platform were involved in harassing and even endangering other broadcasters during the event.
For example, Kick streamer DBR famously kissed and licked Twitch personalities nmplol and Wake Wilder, while another streamer forced a broadcaster into the path of an oncoming train during an altercation.

Influencers across the internet are urging Kick to implement changes. Although the platform has banned the offending streamers, even its most prominent content creators believe this response is insufficient.
During a broadcast on September 25, Adin Ross, a significant streamer on Kick, expressed his frustration with the situation, stating he has repeatedly requested harsher measures against misbehaving creators.
He agrees with YouTube star Ludwig, who previously criticized Kick and referred to it as a platform populated by “sh*t streamers” following the chaos at TwitchCon.
“Ludwig’s 100% right,” Ross stated. “You can say ‘F*ck Ludwig’ all you want in this chat, but he’s right. However, you need to remember Twitch when it first launched. It didn’t develop overnight into what it is today. Ten years ago, people were doing even crazier things on Twitch.”
“When people act out, they need to be banned immediately,” he added. “I’m very vocal about this on the moderation [team], yet my concerns often go unheard. This is incredibly frustrating. I’ll continue to voice my concerns about moderation until they start to listen.”

Kick has taken action against the errant streamers involved. However, CEO Eddie Craven has appealed to the community to recognize that “the actions of a few individuals don’t reflect the broader platform.”

Nonetheless, criticism towards Kick continues to intensify following several incidents involving controversial behavior from some streamers, including Johnny Somali, who previously faced jail time in Japan for his live-streamed misconduct in the country.
