Adin Ross Awards $10,000 Prize for Hurricane Milton Stream Featuring Mike Smalls Jr.

Adin Ross’ Hurricane Milton challenge faced backlash when a Kick streamer was excluded from its prize money. However, Ross took significant steps to rectify the situation for the streamer.

As Hurricane Milton made its way toward Florida’s Gulf Coast on October 10, Kick streamer Adin Ross announced a $70,000 reward for anyone who could successfully livestream the storm.

With hopes of being eligible for the reward, Kick streamer Mike Smalls Jr. went live amidst the intensifying winds and rain, setting up a tent and air mattress right in the eye of the tempest.

Ross later clarified that the $70,000 would actually go to streamers SamBond and SweaterGxd, leaving Smalls disappointed and frustrated. Politely expressing his thoughts, Smalls said, “F*ck you! I’m out here risking my life to support my family, and you just misleadingly scammed me. That’s messed up.”

Even though Smalls didn’t win the $70,000, Ross expressed pride in Smalls’ viral success during the hurricane livestream.

In addition to sharing his support, Ross pledged to give Smalls $10,000 to help him secure a place to stay. Smalls tweeted about Ross’ encouragement and the promised financial support, asking, “Do you think he’s really going to follow through with it?”

On October 17, Ross honored his commitment, sending the $10,000 to Smalls. “I received $10K from Adin Ross for participating in the hurricane challenge last week! He’s truly a man of his word… some of you were so certain he wouldn’t pay me,” Smalls tweeted.

Fans of Smalls celebrated his rising fame, deeming Ross’ decision to pay him a significant “W.” Many expressed their appreciation for Ross’ follow-through.

Meanwhile, Adin Ross faced complications with another commitment made during Hurricane Milton; although he had initially promised Lieutenant Dan a Kick deal, he rescinded the offer after Dan’s streams sparked some controversy.
