Adin Ross wants to get unbanned on Twitch to fix his “toxic” community

Streaming sensation Adin Ross has recently made a comeback on Kick after taking a long break from his online presence. He announced his new objective of getting unbanned on Twitch.

Despite being the face of Kick, Adin Ross expressed his desire to return to Twitch during his broadcast on July 23, following a two-month absence from the internet.

In his livestream, Ross openly acknowledged the toxicity within his community and expressed his desire to be unbanned on Twitch in order to address and improve the issues among his viewers. However, he made it clear that he has no plans to leave Kick.

He announced, “We’re planning to get unbanned on Twitch.”When asked why, he clarified, “Not because I want to stop Kick, but because I know you all needed me. I’m back, and this is still my baby.”

“We are determined to regain our Twitch account, as it will have a positive impact on our community. It is important that we address and improve our toxic behavior. We will work together to find a solution and make things right.”

Additionally, Adin assured that he will not be taking any breaks in the near future and is determined to continue producing content at full speed.

“We are determined to expand Kick, the brand and enhance the community. It’s as simple as that,”he stated. “Some individuals may be hesitant to join me on stream, but that is not the only solution. Let’s work together to find a way to involve everyone.”

In his remarks, Adin recalls a conversation he had with his manager during a livestream in 2023. His manager had informed him that numerous well-known celebrities were hesitant to appear on his broadcasts because of his “negative”reputation.

“Your manager expressed frustration, stating that if it weren’t for your reputation being so toxic, they would have been able to secure guests for you. It’s disheartening that no one wants to associate themselves with you due to the negative perception surrounding you.”

During his absence, Adin took care to separate himself from the controversy surrounding Kick over the last two months. The platform had made headlines for banning a streamer who had brandished a gun at a couple for kissing in public, an incident that gained widespread attention online.

Before that incident, another Kick streamer had caused anger among viewers for driving on the sidewalk during a live stream. As a result, Destiny was subsequently banned for his remarks about a victim involved in the shooting at the Trump rally.

Despite this, Kick has implemented modifications to guarantee improved moderation on its platform, including the introduction of new categories and the implementation of ‘bounties’ to incentivize streamers.

In 2023, Twitch permanently banned Ross, which was his eighth and final suspension on the site.

Despite initially being outraged, he is currently striving to regain their approval… and thanks to the recent modifications implemented by CEO Dan Clancy, previously banned streamers such as Adin now have the opportunity for redemption.

Despite Ross pleading with Clancy to reinstate his account, the streamer has maintained his commitment to his audience on Kick. Clancy has stated that he will make plans to speak with Ross about potentially lifting the ban in April 2024, and it appears that he is still working towards this goal.
