On July 23rd, ADOR issued a statement announcing that they had gathered all the harmful posts and comments from various channels in both Korea and overseas. They also mentioned receiving important information from reports submitted by fans. This led to them filing a complaint with the investigative agency.
The agency stated that they have successfully imposed fines on numerous defendants in the ongoing lawsuits due to their consistent legal action. They also mentioned that legal proceedings are still in progress against the remaining defendants. The agency emphasized their commitment to closely monitoring and gathering evidence to ensure that those responsible for harmful posts, including underage individuals, are held accountable under the law, regardless of the time it may take.
Furthermore, ADOR has pinpointed a group named ‘Girls Planet 999 Gallery’ on DC Inside as a significant origin of derogatory remarks towards NewJeans.
On the same day, ADOR issued an additional statement stating that their efforts to combat malicious commenters had received feedback from HYBE’s legal team. They were informed that tracking certain hateful individuals was proving to be difficult. As a result, ADOR’s CEO, Min Hee-jin, directly requested a meeting with DC Inside’s CEO, Kim Yoo-sik, to discuss potential measures to identify and eliminate these malicious commenters.
The team clarified that they discovered a hotline for reporting posts, which is able to identify harmful comments from anonymous users by working with investigative agencies. This information was confirmed by CEO Kim Yoo-sik and is being shared as a cautionary message to those who believe their anonymous actions will go undetected. Furthermore, it was emphasized that all necessary actions are being taken to safeguard NewJeans.
The ‘Girls Planet 999 Gallery’ is, in fact, filled with content that defames NewJeans. There has been a steady stream of malicious posts that criticize the nationality and actions of NewJeans members, and ADOR is diligently gathering any available evidence.
ADOR announced that they have been made aware of the reporting hotline through HYBE. They reassured that they will continue to take legal measures against the malicious DC Inside gallery, even if it requires a longer period of time. In response, HYBE stated that they have been consistently utilizing their monitoring system and gathering reports from fans to remove any harmful comments or posts regarding HYBE Labels artists on DC Inside.
Additionally, HYBE intends to pursue legal measures against any other harmful online communities on DC Inside that disseminate false information about their artists.
