Aesha from Below Deck Med shares her thoughts on cheating among yachting crew members

During her time on Below Deck Mediterranean, Chief Stew Aesha Scott addressed the topic of crew members cheating while working in the yachting industry with the Season 9 charter guests.

Aesha Scott, the Chief Stew, is making her comeback in Season 9 of Below Deck Mediterranean. She had previously been a part of Seasons 4 and 5 of the spinoff as well as the first two seasons of Below Deck Down Under.

Despite being engaged, Aesha unexpectedly observed deckhand Gael Cameron having a fling with her colleague Nathan Gallagher, despite already being in a relationship with her own boyfriend. She had not been seeking a boatmance this season.

In the June 4 installment of the podcast “All Gains & No Game,”Season 9 charter guests Jacob Ward and Joel Kirby host the Chief Stew as she shares her thoughts on cheating within the yachting industry.

“According to her, cheating is prevalent in the yachting industry, with an estimated 90 percent of people engaging in it. This saddens her greatly and makes her believe that relationships are not sustainable in this field.”

Aesha further stated that boatmances between crew members on yachts do not always have the same success once they leave the boat and enter the real world.

“According to Aesha, being on a boat is like being in a bubble, separated from the outside world. It can make you feel disconnected and vulnerable, especially if someone is interested in you and has the opportunity to constantly pursue you.”

Despite being in a happy engagement with her fiance Scott, Aesha had her fair share of on-screen flings in the past while filming Below Deck Med while dating him.

During Season 4, she engaged in a boatmance with deckhand Jack Stirrup, however she ended the relationship once she discovered he had been unfaithful after the charter season had ended.

Hopefully, Aesha can provide Gael and Nathan with some guidance as they navigate their own cheating scandal on Season 9, in order to prevent their relationship from ending poorly.
