Fans were surprised to find out through a recent social media post that aespa’s Giselle is actually good friends with THIS K-pop idol!
An Instiz post titled “Giselle and Krystal’s Close Relationship?”was shared on August 7, 2024. The post, which originated from a popular online forum in South Korea, featured a screenshot from an anonymous individual’s Instagram Story. However, the identities of the non-celebrities in the photo were hidden and the username of the original poster was cropped out.
The image is captioned with the statement, “I made every effort to capture a group photo today.”The user also includes tags for their friend, Giselle, and f(x)’s Krystal Jung!
Korean netizens were taken aback by the revelation that Giselle and Krystal were actually friends. Despite both being signed under SM Entertainment groups, Krystal had already departed the agency and moved on to another one by the time Giselle joined. Moreover, Krystal has been out of the idol scene since the release of “All Mine”in 2016.
Hence, it is unlikely that they met through shared activities. According to K-Netz, their friendship may have started through mutual acquaintances and strengthened due to their shared ability to speak English. Others speculate that they bonded over similar interests and preferences; several even noticed that they have the same brand of phone case known for its distinctive designs. Many fans were delighted to see the two getting along and expressed their hopes for more interactions between them. Despite the significant age difference, with Krystal being six years older than Giselle, people believe they complement each other well.
