On June 2, an official statement was released by SM Entertainment announcing the sudden pause of NingNing’s involvement in aespa’s group activities.
According to the agency, NingNing was unable to attend aespa’s stage performance at the “K-Wave Concert Inkigayo,”which took place in Incheon on the same day (June 2). SM explained that NingNing had to go to the hospital after experiencing symptoms of dehydration and exhaustion during practice.
According to reports, medical professionals recommended that NingNing take a break and focus on recovering her health. Additionally, SM reassured fans that they will prioritize NingNing’s well-being and do everything in their power to support her in her journey towards a full recovery.

“Hello. This is SM Entertainment.
We would like to inform you about aespa member NingNing’s absence from today’s scheduled performance at the ‘K-WAVE’ concert.
During rehearsals, NingNing felt symptoms of dehydration and exhaustion, causing her to receive medical attention at the hospital immediately. According to the medical team, she was advised to rest and recover.
Consequently, we would like to let you know that NingNing will be unable to participate in the “K-WAVE”stage. We would also like to apologize to our fans for this sudden news.
We will do everything we can to ensure that the health and safety of our artists are our top priority, so they can focus on their recovery.
Thank you.”

In the latest development, NingNing made an appearance on the May 29th edition of Girls’ Generation Hyoyeon’s popular YouTube series “Hyoyeon’s Level Up.”During the episode, the two showcased their charming camaraderie as they shared a meal together.
Despite that, the youngest member of aespa still managed to leave a strong impact on both Hyoyeon and their fans with her memorable moment. During their meal, NingNing couldn’t contain her excitement and let out a spontaneous “niahong”sound, bringing a playful touch to the situation.
Initially, Hyoyeon was perplexed by the expression and even inquired with NingNing if saying “niahong”was the current trend. The “Armageddon”singer went on to clarify that the phrase was simply a habit of hers, asking, “Isn’t it kind of my habit? It’s both annoying and cute, isn’t it?“
