On August 24th, the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute announced the results of their August 2024 Singer Brand Reputation Big Data Analysis, which ranked aespa in first place, Lim Young-woong in second place, and SEVENTEEN in third place.
The band reputation index for aespa (Karina, Winter, Giselle, Ningning) has taken the top spot and has been analyzed with a participation index of 973,127, a media index of 2,049,857, a communication index of 2,223,459, and a community index of 1,827,024. This has resulted in a total brand reputation index of 7,073,467, indicating a significant increase of 30.83% compared to their previous index of 5,406,686 in July.
Despite ranking second, Lim Young-woong’s brand reputation index of 6,031,267 was still impressive, with a participation index of 1,202,687, a media index of 2,169,221, a communication index of 1,438,058, and a community index of 1,221,301. However, this marks a 17.16% decrease from his previous brand reputation index of 7,280,743 in July.
SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, Dokyeom, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) ranked third with a total brand reputation index of 3,959,166. This includes a participation index of 521,510, a media index of 1,132,339, a communication index of 717,119, and a community index of 1,588,198. Compared to their July brand reputation index of 2,975,014, this marks a significant increase of 33.08%.
The group IVE (comprised of An Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, and Leeseo) ranked fourth with a participation index of 435,936, a media index of 965,992, a communication index of 1,061,409, and a community index of 1,275,682, bringing their total brand reputation index to 3,739,019. This represents a small 0.25% growth from their previous brand reputation index of 3,729,739 in July.
With a participation index of 459,585, a media index of 913,011, a communication index of 749,543, and a community index of 916,136, IU secured fifth place with a total brand reputation index of 3,038,275. This represents a 13.16% rise from her previous brand reputation index of 2,684,838 in July.
According to Koo Chang-hwan, director of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, the results of the August 2024 analysis of singer brand reputation showed that aespa (Karina, Winter, Giselle, Ningning) took the top spot. The analysis also revealed a 17.41% decrease in singer brand big data compared to July’s 118,820,860 pieces of data. Further examination showed a 5.33% decline in brand consumption, a 21.14% decrease in brand issues, a 19.44% decrease in brand communication, and a 16.81% decrease in brand diffusion.
During the awards ceremony, it was announced that aespa had maintained their position at the top of the music charts with their hit song ‘Supernova’, earning them first place. In second place was Lim Young-woong, who has been gaining popularity as a multi-talented entertainer with his appearances on various variety shows. Third place went to SEVENTEEN, who had wowed audiences with their powerful performances on their global tour. In fourth place was IVE, known for their six unique personalities that have captured fans’ hearts. And finally, in fifth place was IU, who is highly anticipated to perform at a concert in the Seoul World Cup Stadium.
