aespa’s First Appearance on Popular Japanese YouTube Channel

On the 12th, aespa unveiled a one-take live performance video of “Supernova” on the Japanese YouTube channel ‘THE FIRST TAKE’. The video showcased their exceptional vocal abilities and flawless synchronization, garnering significant interest. Continuing their success, on the 26th at 10 PM, they further captivated audiences with the release of their Japanese debut single “Hot Mess” .

‘THE FIRST TAKE’ is a Japanese YouTube channel that has gained the most subscribers in the music genre. It has gained popularity for featuring authentic, one-take performances from various artists. One of its previous videos, “Supernova,”received 5 million views within a week and ranked high on the trending charts, earning immense love from music fans worldwide.

On July 3rd, aespa’s official Japanese debut with “Hot Mess”was a success. They managed to draw in a staggering 100,000 audience members through nine sold-out arena tour performances across four cities: Fukuoka, Nagoya, Saitama, and Osaka. Their performance at Tokyo Dome, which was held as a special edition, sold out immediately and even led to the release of restricted-view seats. Over the course of two days, they attracted around 94,000 fans, further demonstrating their immense popularity in the region.

At present, aespa is on their second world tour and have scheduled their first Australian performances as part of the ‘2024 aespa LIVE TOUR – SYNK: PARALLEL LINE -‘ in Sydney on the 30th and 31st of August, followed by a show in Melbourne on September 2nd.
