aespa’s Historic Achievement: First Overseas Female Artist to Perform at Tokyo Dome for 2 Consecutive Years

Last year, aespa held their first solo concert at Tokyo Dome and this past August 17th and 18th, they returned to the iconic venue for their second concert, titled “2024 aespa Live Tour – SYNK: PARALLEL LINE – in Tokyo Dome – Special Edition” . By accomplishing this, aespa made history as the first female overseas artist to perform at Tokyo Dome for two consecutive years.

It is worth mentioning that aespa has successfully completed a tour of four cities including Fukuoka, Nagoya, Saitama, and Osaka. All nine shows were completely sold out and attracted a total of 100,000 fans. The Tokyo Dome concerts were also sold out shortly after tickets were released, and even restricted-view seats were added to accommodate the high demand. The two-day event saw a total of 94,000 enthusiastic fans in attendance.

The concert was a special edition that showcased an improved stage design, highlighted by a circular stage in the middle. The setlist was also enriched with Japanese original songs, including the chart-topping debut single “Hot Mess”and other tracks such as “Sun and Moon”and “ZOOM ZOOM”.

The lively performances of songs like “Hold On Tight” , “Spicy” , “YOLO” , “Live My Life” and “We Go” by aespa were met with great excitement from the crowd. To further engage with their fans, the group rode mobile stages and passed microphones to the audience, providing exceptional fan service.

After their triumphant Tokyo Dome shows, aespa will proceed with their second global tour in Jakarta, Indonesia on August 24th.
