aespa’s first encore stage of “Supernova”is receiving recognition for their impressive live vocals.
On May 23, 2024, aespa won their first music show trophy for their song “Supernova”on Mnet’s “M! Countdown.”The all-female group competed against the male group ZEROBASEONE and came out on top with 7,214 points, while ZEROBASEONE received 5,776 points.
After winning a music show award, as is customary, aespa held an encore stage in which they performed their song live without any backing vocals. Right from the first line, the group demonstrated their impressive live vocal skills. Even when leader Karina chuckled during her first line, she still flawlessly delivered her opening.

Winter received the most praise among all the members. This was due to the news in April that the idol had experienced a collapsed lung. Despite undergoing surgery, she was able to return to promoting with aespa just one month later. It was impressive to note that despite potentially having less time to practice, she still delivered amazing performances.
when you’re having fun but still serving vocals while being low on stamina because you’re still recovering from your lung surgery… ohh godter and godspa don’t end everyone like that https://t.co/5XOGT8j2fe

Many have pointed out that the group not only sings live, but does so exceptionally well. Some have even expressed their enjoyment in supporting a group that is vocally talented, noting that they never have to worry about any vocal-related controversies.
