AESPA’s ‘Supernova’ Named Best Song of the First Half of the Year by Korea, the U.S., and the U.K.

The title track “Supernova”from Aespa’s first full-length album, which was released prior to the album’s official release, has received recognition from both the American Billboard and UK music magazine DORK as one of the top songs of 2024 thus far. This attests to the positive reception Aespa has garnered from international media outlets.

DORK raved, “Aespa’s ‘Supernova’ is a dynamic fusion of electropop and hip-hop, transporting listeners to a whole new universe. The track’s pulsating beat draws you in like a black hole and catapults you into a different dimension. Moreover, the prestigious American economic magazine Forbes announced that Aespa’s debut full-length album “Armageddon”has debuted on the “Billboard 200″chart. The magazine noted, “With a remarkable surge in sales, ‘Armageddon’ has secured a spot on the list of top-selling albums in the United States.”Forbes elaborated, “This is an impressive achievement for the group, with sales figures significantly surpassing those of their previous release.”

Additionally, “Supernova”maintained its position at the top of the weekly charts for major domestic music sites Melon and Genie for 9 consecutive weeks (July 15-21). This further solidified its title as the longest-running number one song released this year, highlighting its immense popularity both within the country and abroad.

In the meantime, Aespa is set to proceed with their “2024 aespa LIVE TOUR – SYNK: PARALLEL LINE -“with performances in Osaka, Japan on the 27th and 28th, followed by shows in Fukuoka on the 30th and 31st.
