Aespa’s Supernova Takes Over Domestic and International Music Charts

According to SM Entertainment, on May 14th, “Supernova”by aespa, which was released the day before at 6 p.m (KST), took the top spot on the Bugs real-time chart and landed at number 17 on Melon’s “Top 100″chart.

Furthermore, it achieved first place on QQ Music, China’s biggest music platform, in the categories of digital album sales, overall music video chart, and Korean music video chart. Additionally, it topped both the Tencent Music K-pop chart and the Kuwo Music digital album chart. It also reached the number one position on the AWA real-time rising chart on the popular Japanese music platform.

Additionally, aespa’s song achieved the top spot on the iTunes “Top Songs”chart in various countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, Brazil, Oman, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, and Colombia.

One of the dual title tracks from aespa’s debut album is “Supernova.”This captivating dance song features a simplistic sound centered around powerful kicks and bass, symbolically representing the start of a huge personal transformation through the use of a supernova as imagery.

In contrast, aespa’s first full album, titled “Armageddon,”is set to be released on May 27.
