The KGMA organizing committee announced on September 11th that “Winter and Nam Ji-hyun will serve as MCs for the second day of the 1st Korea Grand Music Awards, scheduled for November 16th and 17th at the Inspire Arena, located in Unseo-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon.” NewJeans’ Hanni and Nam Ji-hyun will host the first day on November 16th.
Winter, the lead vocalist of the renowned 4th-generation girl group aespa, is celebrated for her exceptional vocal talent and soulful sound. She is highly esteemed as one of the leading voices in her generation, participating in multiple projects, including Original Soundtracks (OSTs) and duet performances.
Nam Ji-hyun, who will act as MC for both days, is currently featured in the drama “Good Partner,” where she plays a rookie lawyer who stands against injustice. She made her acting debut as a child in 2004 with “Say You Love Me” and gained recognition as young Deokman in “Queen Seondeok.” Nam has successfully navigated various genres, including thrillers and historical dramas like “Suspicious Partner” and “100 Days My Prince.”
The “2024 KGMA” aims to honor artists and music that have garnered substantial success across various genres including K-pop, trot, band, and solo music, appealing to fans both domestically and internationally. This event is anticipated to be a festival that brings together both artists and their fans.
The initial lineup of participating artists for the awards ceremony features NewJeans, NiziU, aespa, ATEEZ, ZEROBASEONE, and Taemin, with the KGMA organizing committee set to reveal the second and third lineups shortly.
Hanteo Chart will provide data on digital and album sales, while FanCast will oversee the official fan voting process. The event is hosted by Ilgan Sports (EdailyM) and organized by the KGMA committee.
