During a recent Weverse live broadcast, Winter from aespa was interacting with fans. Unfortunately, the broadcast was continuously disrupted by persistent calls from sasaeng fans.
Despite initially attempting to disregard the interruptions, Winter’s frustration finally reached a boiling point and she sternly instructed, “Everyone, please refrain from calling.”She further expressed her exasperation by stating, “Whenever a call comes through, the live broadcast is disrupted.”Fans responded with a combination of understanding and shock, commenting, “I’ve never seen Winter so irate”and “Please cease to disturb Winter.”
The problem of sasaeng fans is not limited to Winter alone, as numerous celebrities continue to face similar violations of their privacy. A prime example is Kim Jaejoong, a former member of TVXQ, who has openly discussed the immense stress caused by sasaeng fans.
On the 21st, he revealed that a sasaeng fan had climbed on top of him and kissed him while he was sleeping. He also expressed that the most frightening thing for him is dealing with people.
Despite facing severe invasions of privacy, Jung Eunji took legal action after receiving unwanted texts from a fan who requested to become her “butler and companion”and engaged in stalking behavior.
Additionally, there are countless other situations where fans overstep boundaries and cause trouble for celebrities, such as showing up at their houses uninvited, sneaking into their homes without permission, and even making threats against their lives. Although stars are grateful for their fans, they should not be treated as objects to be controlled by fan’s desires.
