On Reddit, player u/Nero_Angelo_Sparda shared his findings. “I just found the Morgue and the part of the map with the cursed Kuo-Toa. Damn, I really didn’t expect to find any new things at this point.”

The Healing House Morgue is just north of the building, and the cursed Kuo-Toa is in an abandoned fisherman’s hut north of the Morgue.

However, a new boss and a new area weren’t the only things the player got to experience. As another Baldur’s Gate 3 player also pointed out, you can find information about the Strange Ox in this area.

“We find out where the Strange Ox comes from,” he said. “You can see his thoughts as he shares them with you in Act 2. The scene he shows you is the exact scene of the corpse pit behind the Morgue lab where Malus has been dumping bodies for centuries. Descending into the pit itself results in combat with enemies identical to the Strange Ox’s true form.

You’ll also find some great loot in the Morgue, including the Ring of Clairvoyance. “The morgue contains one of my favorite items in the game. The Ring of Clairvoyance provides immunity to blindness, which comes in handy for a boss fight in Act 3,” explained one player.

The boss fight they are referring to is likely the fight against Shar’s disciples in the House of Sorrow in Baldur’s Gate. The Darkness spell is used against you in combat, rendering you temporarily blind.

So, all you have to do is go through this area to not miss any of the experience it has to offer in Baldur’s Gate 3.
