In February, Yunjin Huh and Sakura Miyawaki were guests on the web variety show “Eunchae’s Star Diary” , which is hosted by Hong Eunchae.

On May 13th, a media outlet published a letter written by NewJeans’ parents and addressed to ADOR, in which they raised concerns about HYBE’s alleged neglect of their child. According to the parents, Chairman Bang Si-hyuk consistently ignored NewJeans’ greetings during their meetings.
Moreover, they voiced their dissatisfaction with the fact that even though HYBE had announced NewJeans as their debut girl group, LE SSERAFIM ended up debuting first. They expressed, “The unfulfilled promise of HYBE’s original girl group and the prolonged neglect and disregard towards the members of NewJeans during their training period with Source Music is a nightmare that will not be forgotten.”
After reviewing the report, ADOR verified that the viewpoints expressed were in fact from NewJeans’ parents and that they had been communicated to HYBE through email.
HYBE responded by stating that CEO Min’s side’s claims were false and clarified that Chairman Bang Si-hyuk has always acknowledged greetings from NewJeans. They also expressed disappointment at the involvement of NewJeans and their parents in the ongoing dispute.
Currently, there is a month-long management dispute between HYBE and ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin. The parents of NewJeans have also joined in, alleging discriminatory treatment towards their child. As a result, an extraordinary shareholders’ meeting has been scheduled for May 31st for ADOR.
