After traveling through the past, meet your parents? After watching the trailer, it feels like a “comedy”!
The screenwriter of “The Moon Embracing the Sun”Chen Xiuwan will launch the new moon drama “Sparkling Watermelon”on tvN on the 25th of next month (September), inviting young actors such as Li Yun, Choi Hyun-wook, Seol In-ah, and Shin Eun-soo to star. It is a youth growth drama that describes the model student CODA boy, who travels through a suspicious musical instrument shop, meets his father who is the same age as him and becomes friends, and begins his first love with a mysterious girl. (CODA means “Child of Deaf Adults”, which is the abbreviation of “Children of the Deaf”.)
At the script reading scene, you can also see senior actors such as Cui Yuanying, Seo Linghee, Cheon Ho-jin, and Jung Sang-hoon, adding to the sense of anticipation for the drama. Li Yun plays the CODA boy “Eun Jie”who is born with musical talent, Choi Hyun Wook plays the cheerful and passionate man “Lee Chan”, Seol In Ah plays the muse “Se Kyung”who is loved by everyone, Shin Eun Soo plays the congenital Ice Princess “Qing Ya”who is sexually impaired.
The plot contains a variety of themes, such as bands, friendship and love, etc., bringing a warm feeling to the audience. Li Yun said that he has prepared a lot for TV dramas, such as: sign language, guitar, singing, etc. He will go to classes when he has time.
In the first version of the trailer, Enjie (played by Li Yun) can be seen traveling to 1995 on a night when “two moons”appeared, and met his father!
In the second version of the trailer, Eun-jae finds himself traveling back to 1995 when his mother, father and aunt were all there, and his father’s first love is not his mother! Enjie said excitedly: “Dad, you have to like Yin Qingya!”Li Can (played by Choi Hyun Wook) asked back: “Who is Yin Qingya?!”
After watching the trailer, apart from being curious about the development of the plot, the “brotherhood”between Li Yun and Cui Xianxu is also worth looking forward to!
