On June 17th, Mystic Story, the agency of Billie, published a notice titled “Re-announcement of Online Etiquette”on the group’s official fancafe.
Mystic Story reported that there have been recent incidents of fans violating etiquette on the communication platform Bubble. They stated that the artist has chosen not to take any action and did not want to report the behavior. However, due to the continuation of excessive words and actions, they can no longer ignore the current situation and must take measures to protect the artist.
Mystic Story also shared a list of Bubble messages from fans that sparked controversy, including phrases like “Never come back to Japan,””Don’t return to Japan. I don’t want to see your face,”and “Why didn’t you look at me? Why did you pass by so fast?”The agency made it clear that they will take action against those who sent these messages.
Previously, Tsuki, a member of Billlie’s fanclub, had been receiving numerous aggressive and excessive messages from certain fans on Bubble. Screenshots of these messages were being shared on online communities, where one fan scolded Tsuki for not exclusively greeting members of the fanclub and instead greeting others. In response, Tsuki apologized and promised to work harder to avoid causing sadness among the fans.
Upon receiving a comment from another fan stating, “That’s okay, I’m already dead because you didn’t come to Bubble yesterday” , Tsuki responded, “Why are you saying that? Please don’t give up” , and added, “I apologize for not being there yesterday” .
“Netizens responded with comments such as, “Did she feign ignorance towards someone she knows?”, “They are also fans,”and “Do idols truly receive numerous Bubble messages like that on a daily basis?”
Mystic Story responded by publicly releasing the nicknames of fans who had sent malicious messages, and stated that these fans would be permanently banned from the group’s events. Prior to this, Ririka from ILY:1 had also expressed her frustration with fans who had made inappropriate comments.
