An Airbnb guest has caused concern among viewers by sharing her experience staying in a house and emphasizing the importance of carefully reviewing photos before making a booking.
Caitie, known as ‘lovenapsmorethaniloveyou’ on TikTok, surprised fellow users of the popular social media platform by sharing her unexpected encounter with Airbnb.
The scenario occurred when Caitie’s grandmother arranged for a house for them to stay in, but neglected to check the photos on Airbnb’s website beforehand.
As a result, the duo uncovered that the inside was intricately adorned with various furry outfits, stuffed animals, and decorations featuring dogs.
@lovenapsmorethaniloveyou I do have to say the pictures online FAILED to show the deflated ceiling furries #airbnbfinds #sleepparalysis #roomtour
The entire room was decorated with a consistent theme, featuring numerous tapestries adorned with images of puppies and kittens, artificial vines placed throughout the space, dog toys attached to the walls, and a large variety of oversized plush toys.
Numerous stuffed animals were affixed to the walls and suspended from the ceiling, including a life-sized teddy bear hanging in the room.
As Caitie ascended the stairs, she noticed that both walls on either side were completely covered in faux greenery. However, when she reached the top, she was surprised to find a furry suit propped upright. To be cautious, Caitie gently kicked the suit to make sure no one was hiding inside.
Caitie posted a TikTok video of the themed Airbnb, commenting that the pictures online did not accurately depict the deflated ceiling furries. Viewers flooded the comments with their opinions after watching the video.
One user confessed that they were not prepared for a single room on this tour, while another expressed concern about potential cameras in the ceiling.
There were also many who shared the sentiment that hidden surveillance would be frightening and that the house would be terrifying at night. One person even expressed their fear of the fur suits coming to life and attacking them in the darkness.
Despite this, there were still some who saw the chance to make a joke, as one user wrote, “When you search for ‘dog friendly’ and the algorithm misinterprets it.”
