The Australian Border Force recently shared a video featuring the weapons they have confiscated, including Valorant and Counter-Strike 2 blades like the Karambit Fade, as part of their efforts to showcase their findings.
The Instagram video, which was posted on July 17, showcases butterfly knives and tactical blades, many of which are also available as skins for melee weapons in Valorant and CS2.
One of the knives featured in the video was a Karambit Fade, a replica of an expensive knife skin that was recognized by CS2 players. The skin stands out for its unique and colorful blade and can fetch a price of nearly $2,500 on the open market, according to players who saw it.
Keen-eyed viewers of Valorant may observe that among the collection of confiscated blades, there is a facsimile of the Reaver Karambit. This uniquely designed knife catches attention with its vibrant handle and jagged rear edge.
Despite not providing a detailed analysis, the Airport security video featured several weapons that appeared to be from popular video game franchises. While primarily intended for promotional purposes, commenters were quick to identify and recognize the various pieces of memorabilia.
“An Instagram user inquired, “What is the reason behind the abundance of replica video game knives?”
Another user asked, “Why is Reaver Karambit here?”
The video also displays a variety of weapons that appear to be influenced by popular media franchises such as anime and horror movies. Among these are numerous kunai reminiscent of those used in Naruto, as well as a knife hand resembling the weapon wielded by Freddy Krueger in the A Nightmare on Elm Street series.
In the video, there are also other unique weapons that catch attention, such as throwing cards with sharp metal edges and brass knuckles resembling those of Batman.
The brief video intends to caution CS2, Valorant, and other franchise enthusiasts against carrying fake weapons while traveling, particularly internationally.
