Lee Tae Geun has tragically passed away, leaving fans in mourning.
On September 6, Korean news outlet SPOTV News reported that the singer died on September 4 at the age of 41. Reports indicated that Lee Tae Geun fell into a coma following a COVID-19 booster shot in 2022.

The singer’s wife revealed that just three hours after receiving the booster shot, Lee Tae Geun experienced severe headaches, vomiting, and intense dizziness. A subsequent CT scan confirmed that he was suffering from a brain hemorrhage.
In light of this heartbreaking news, fans began to express their condolences on social media. News outlet OSEN also reported that the singer’s final post was made on June 17. In his letter, he wrote:
“I’m sorry, my beloved. Thank you so much. You’re always there for me, so I love you even more. I can’t do this without you, and a cry from my heart is what I can finally deliver.”

Lee Tae Geun made his debut with the group Akdong Club in 2002 and later joined The A.D. in 2006.
Following his passing, fans shared their heartfelt messages for the late star and his family below the video of Akdong Club’s “Illusion”performance during “Music Camp”in 2003.
“This is a song I enjoyed listening to when I was young. I knew the song ‘Illusion’ through Akdong Club Up. It also reminds me of ‘Last Escape.’ May he rest in peace.”
“Oh my… Lee Tae Geun, may he rest in peace.”
“I hope you go to a good place and feel comfortable now.”
