Ali Abulaban, widely known online as JinnKidd, issued an apology to his followers just before beginning his life sentence for the tragic murders of his wife and her friend.
The TikTok star, Ali Abulaban, aged 32, was apprehended in 2021 for the fatal shootings of his wife, Ana Abulaban, 28, and her friend, 29-year-old Rayburn Cadenas Barron. After being convicted in May, he received a sentence of two life terms in September, with the judge stating that “he will die in prison.”
On September 25, Abulaban took to Instagram to post a heartfelt message to his 189,000 followers, where he expressed remorse for his actions and addressed the families of the victims, while also thanking his fans for their ongoing support.
“I would like to share a few words with you all before I leave for prison in the morning,” he wrote. “Regardless of how you all may feel about me, my content, or this heartbreaking tragedy – the bottom line is that I have done something terrible.”
“Due to my irresponsible behavior and lack of self-control, I took two innocent lives and I must accept the responsibility. No excuse is acceptable, and I will no longer use my platform to defend my actions.
“I had my chance to speak during the trial, where I expressed my intentions on that awful day. However, the jury found me guilty, and now I must confront the consequences and navigate the road ahead.”
He further conveyed his deep regret to his fans, admitting to feeling ashamed of his “pathetic and selfish behavior.”
Abulaban added: “I am forever devastated knowing that I have caused irreversible pain to the love of my life and fatally impacted the man who was with her. Neither of them deserved this fate, and I am eternally indebted to their families.
“I hope that the life sentences I received may begin the healing process for you all.”
He concluded by expressing gratitude to his followers for supporting his dreams and apologized for disappointing them before bidding farewell.
