On April 26th, Sohee shared on her Instagram, “Since debuting with Alice in 2017, I have been blessed with the love and support of my fans and have grown to be 26 years old.”She also announced her marriage, stating, “During this time, I met someone who has been an incredible source of support for me. Now, we have become so important to each other that we have decided to get married.”
She added, “Although I am thrilled to share this news, I also want to apologize to any fans, friends, or acquaintances who may have been caught off guard by this sudden announcement.”
“Moving forward, I will embrace my new life as Kim Sohee, rather than being known as Alice’s Sohee. I will strive for happiness and ease your worries, just as you have shown me love. Your support throughout my entertainment career has brought me immense joy, and I will always be grateful for it. I will carry this feeling with me and live my life with appreciation.”
Sohee, who has been in a relationship with a businessman 15 years her senior for a year, has announced her retirement from the entertainment industry in order to get married. According to initial reports, Sohee will officially register her marriage next month and plans to have a small wedding ceremony within the year.
Sohee gained recognition as a participant on SBS’s “K-pop Star 6: The Last Chance”(2017), ultimately coming in second place. She made her debut with the group Alice that same year. However, after releasing a new song in April of last year, Alice has been inactive.
