Fans exiting Alien: Romulus have one unexpected observation for the film’s lead actress – they believe she would have been an ideal choice to portray Ellie in The Last of Us.
Despite being most recognized for her roles in Priscilla and Civil War, Cailee Spaeny’s career may take a new turn. She has emerged as the standout performer in Alien: Romulus, portraying Rain, an orphan living on a mining colony who becomes trapped on a deserted spaceship overrun by Xenomorphs.
The early previews of Romulus have received high praise from fans, particularly for Spaeny’s performance. Some have compared her to the tough and mature Ellie from The Last of Us Part II, and even suggested that she may be a better fit for the role than the current actor, Bella Ramsey.
