All Magic: The Gathering Bonus Card Reveals from Dungeons & Dragons 50th Anniversary Secret Lairs

The 50th anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons has been marked with a variety of exciting new products and collaborations, including the highly anticipated Magic: The Gathering Secret Lairs collection.

These Secret Lair sets showcase the rich history and current state of the game, featuring timeless artwork, the infamous Beholder creature, and the fan-favorite companions from the immensely popular RPG Baldur’s Gate 3.

Soon after the sets were made available for purchase, they quickly sold out. The bonus cards from these Secret Lair sets have now been discovered in circulation, featuring fantastic reprints and impressive, fitting artwork.

We are gathering all of the Secret Lair bonus cards in one place and will continue to provide updates as more players open their packs and uncover the undisclosed treasures within.

The Exhibition of Adventure Secret Lair includes one fixed bonus card, but the remaining cards found here can vary and appear in various combinations.

Fixed bonus cards

Dungeons and Dragons An Exhibition of Adventure Bonus Card: Dark Deal

This devilish dark-magic twist on Magic’s discard-and-draw ‘wheel’ cards offers a unique perspective. Dark Deal requires all players, including its caster, to discard their entire hand and draw one less card than the number discarded.

Despite the prevalence of graveyard reanimation in black mana decks, Dark Deal can be utilized as a means of disrupting opponents’ strategies and retrieving valuable cards to the battlefield.

This particular version of Dark Deal includes artwork from the 2024 edition of the Dungeon Master’s Guide, further connecting the set to the other anniversary festivities of D&D.

Unfixed Bonus Cards

Druid of Purification

In the year following the release of Baldur’s Gate 3, Druids have gained significant attention due to their prominent role in the game’s first act and the bear-morphing abilities of Archdruid companion Halsin.

Druid of Purification wields the might of the wilderness as a green removal spell with a unique social aspect. Not only does it grant you the ability to destroy an Artifact or Enchantment, but it also gives your fellow players the opportunity to do so as well. Thankfully, your own board is protected from this targeting.

The Legend of Xorn

An infamous creature since the days of first edition, these voracious gem-eaters can pose a challenge for novice adventurers to defeat.

Xorn is well-suited for Treasure-focused decks, as it aligns with its inherent desire for shiny objects. Its presence can accelerate token production and guarantee a steady supply of mana round after round.

Archivist of Oghma

As a follower of D&D’s deity of knowledge, the Archivist of Oghma is able to punish adversaries who overstep their bounds by bestowing upon you the ability to draw from a vast supply of cards.

The ability for opponents to search their decks for the ideal card not only allows you to draw a card, but also gain 1 life. Additionally, the Flash ability of Archivist of Oghma enables it to enter the battlefield in response to another player’s attempt to do so.

Battle Angels of Tyr

One of the few Creatures with the natural ability of Myriad, making it a tough airborne adversary for all other players at the table.

This angel will provide you with card draw, Treasure tokens, and life, as long as there are no other opponents with Reach or Flying abilities.

At the minimum, this Creature has a sense of justice, demonstrated by its abilities ceasing to function if you are the player with the most resources generated through its help.

Prosperous Innkeeper

There are few pieces of art more suitable for these Secret Lairs than depicting the Prosperous Innkeeper as Durnan, the legendary owner of the Yawning Portal tavern in D&D.

Durnan will compensate you for populating the field with as many adventurers as you can by giving you a Treasure token when it enters the battlefield and increasing your life total whenever another one of your Creatures enters after him.

In the year 2024, MTG’s Secret Lairs have experienced significant success with surprising collaborations such as Monty Python and Hatsune Miku. However, the limited-release approach can create challenges for fans looking to purchase these products, and MTG players are vocal about this issue.
