Fortnite’s Chapter 5 Season 4 features numerous Easter Eggs scattered throughout the Battle Royale island, waiting to be discovered during your matches.
The recent addition of Doctor Doom for the Absolute Doom season in Fortnite has brought a plethora of Marvel-themed features to the Battle Royale. These include new and returning weapons, NPCs, three new POIs, and fresh skins and cosmetics in the Battle Pass. Overall, there has been a significant amount of new content introduced.
Despite Doom’s domination of the island, there have been numerous subtle Marvel Easter Eggs scattered throughout the map. It is unclear if these are hints towards the future storyline or simply a tribute to Marvel enthusiasts. Regardless, they raise intriguing inquiries.
Every Marvel Easter Egg
Doctor Doom’s dominance over the top half of the Battle Royale island this season is evident with the addition of three new POIs – Castle Doom, Doomstadt, and The Raft. These locations are home to the majority of the Easter Eggs.
Throughout the map in Chapter 5 Season 4, there are numerous Easter Eggs from the Marvel universe.
Defeated Marvel Characters at Castle Doom
Doctor Doom has filled his castle with trophies of Marvel Characters he has defeated.
Doctor Doom has triumphed over a total of twelve Marvel characters in Fortnite and has proudly displayed them as trophies at the Castle Doom POI. These victorious figures can be seen below and are situated both inside and outside the throne room of the castle:
- The remains of The Thing’s rocky body were utilized by Doom as his throne.
- Ultron’s head is contained within a glass box.
- Sue Storm – The Invisible Woman is seated behind a glass case with a plaque that reads “Sue.”
- The Eye of Agamotto pendant, belonging to Doctor Strange, is safely resting on a red pillow cushion.
- The fiery heart of the Human Torch was set upon the mantle of Doom’s fireplace.
- The helmet of Wastelander Magneto is encased in a state of disrepair.
- The remnants of Silver Surfer’s Surfboard are showcased in a glass case.
- The weapon known as the Crescent Moon, wielded by Moon Knight, rests on a crimson cushion.
- The shattered helmet of Thanos is displayed in a glass case.
Mister Fantastic – He has been transformed into a spherical shape and is now contained within a glass box due to his stretching abilities.
Mephisto being summoned
Demonic sigils have appeared at the Castle Doom forge.
The forge, located on the hill adjacent to Castle Doom, has been emitting a curious combination of red and black smoke ever since its arrival on the island. Upon closer inspection, one may notice a handful of demonic symbols within the forge, indicating that Doctor Doom may be utilizing it in an attempt to summon the infamous villain, Mephisto.
Although Mephisto is known for fighting against Doctor Doom in Marvel Comics, the reason behind Doom’s supposed attempt to resurrect him in Fortnite remains a mystery.
Secret Iron Man Basement
A secret basement filled with Iron Man merchandise can be found at Doomstadt.
The top left-hand corner of Doomstadt is home to a seemingly unremarkable house. Despite its unassuming exterior, this house holds a secret Iron Man basement and even has a small Iron Man helmet above the door as a hint.
Simply enter through the front door and dismantle one of the wooden bookcases to your left. This will uncover a set of stairs leading to a hidden room filled with an abundance of Iron Man merchandise, including rugs, lava lamps, posters, cardboard cutouts, a Snooker table, and much more.
Fighting Game Showdown: Marvel vs Capcom
Epic Games has referenced a throwback to the classic Marvel vs Capcom games.
In Iron Man’s hidden basement, there is an old TV set across from the sofa that showcases Iron Man in a traditional fighting game. Although there is no explicit mention of a specific game, the Doombot NPC boss at Castle Doom utilizes the well-known Foot Dive move from the classic Marvel vs Capcom games as one of its attacks.
Gwenpool Imprisoned
Gwenpool is being held securely at new The Raft POI.
It seems that Doctor Doom’s use of The Raft goes beyond just recruiting supervillains and extraterrestrial threats for his army, as Gwenpool has been discovered imprisoned at the POI.
At the southeast part of the POI, there are some destroyed building remains outside the prison. At first glance, they may not seem like much, but this is actually where Gwenpool is being securely held. She is kept in a small room behind a pink and white colored door that is sealed shut.
Upon approaching the door, you will have the opportunity to interact with it and initiate a conversation with Gwenpool. She will task you with retrieving an ID Chip from a Henchman and delivering it to her. Upon successful completion of this secret quest, which should not take much time, you will receive a reward of 15K XP.
We have created a guide that will assist you in locating Gwenpool and successfully completing all of her missions.
Doctor Doom Bakery and Ice Cream
Doom’s Dough-Main bakery and a Victor Von Scoops ice cream dispenser.
Doomstadt is where Doom’s Dough-Main, a bakery inspired by Doom’s Domain POI from Chapter 2 Season 4, is located at the new Doomstadt POI. This establishment pays homage to Doom’s arrival on the Fortnite island.
In addition, throughout the map, you will now come across numerous Victor Von Scoops ice cream freezers containing Doom’s signature ice cream. These two additions seem to be purely aesthetic and are not anticipated to affect the primary plot.
Doctor Doom’s henchman
A henchmen digging site next to the Grand Glacier hotel.
Throughout this season, Doctor Doom’s minions can be seen scattered throughout the map, specifically in the vicinity of the three recently added POIs.
Additionally, they have been discovered in various unexpected spots adjacent to points of interest and minor landmarks while conducting excavations on the island for specific relics. These locations include Grim Gate, Mount Olympus, The Underworld, and a small structure northeast of the main Grand Glacier hotel.
The exact nature of these artifacts and Doom’s motivation for seeking them remains uncertain. As we anticipate additional updates during the middle of the season, it will be interesting to see how these discoveries progress and tie into the overarching plot of Chapter 5 Season 4.
Fantastic Four Landmark
Fractured Four landmark resembling the Fantastic Four logo.
At the northwest corner of the island map, just east of the Piney Pumps Gas Station, you will come across the Fractured Four landmark. Here lies a sizable, shattered Fantastic Four sign resembling the iconic logo from their headquarters, the Baxter Building. It appears to have been torn straight off the building.
It seems that the aftermath of the Fantastic Four’s defeat at the hands of Doctor Doom is being displayed as trophies inside Castle Doom. However, the fact that Epic has given them their own landmark this season could suggest that the rumored Fantastic Four collaboration may be arriving soon.
Galactus head
A mysterious Galactus head in the ocean at the furthest top right-hand corner of the map.
Regardless of where you land on the Battle Royale island this season, it is nearly impossible to overlook the massive Galactus head situated in the ocean at the upper-left corner of the map. While there has been no official explanation for its presence, it may possibly be a hint at the rumored Galactus collaboration that is expected to take place in Chapter 5 Season 4.
