Women’s Career Mode

You can manage your favorite women’s teams in FC 25.

With the inclusion of female players in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team, it seemed inevitable that a Women’s Career Mode would follow suit. This is exactly what EA FC 25 offers, allowing players to embark on a Manager or Player Career Mode featuring their favorite stars or teams from the top five women’s football leagues. These leagues include:

  • Women’s Super League
  • NWSL
  • D1 Arkemma
  • League F
  • Women’s Bundesliga

The UWCL will also be available in Career Mode, giving you the opportunity to guide your team to success in Europe.

FC IQ

EA FC 25 introduces a highly anticipated tactical overhaul to the franchise, incorporating Player Roles and Team Tactics instead of Work Rates and Player Instructions. This new feature, known as FC IQ, is available in all game modes, but is particularly well-suited for Career Mode.

With the implementation of the new system, you will have the ability to efficiently create personalized tactical formations by assigning various roles to your players. For example, if you wish to utilize a 4-3-3 formation with your CDM providing defensive support, you can assign them the Center Half Player Role. Likewise, you can instruct your midfielders to play a more attacking role, such as Advanced 8s, by assigning them the Half-Winger role.

The success of your players in these positions depends greatly on their level of familiarity. To enhance this aspect, consider hiring coaches who are in line with your team’s Tactical Vision.

Live Start Points

Career Mode will soon introduce an exciting feature called Live Start Points, which enables players to begin a new game reflecting the current state of the real-life season. These Start Points will be regularly updated to include the latest league standings, results, transfers, statistics, and suspensions from ongoing competitions such as the Premier League, LaLiga, Ligue 1, and others.

If, for example, Ipswich, who have just been promoted, are able to take the lead in the table on GW4, you will have the opportunity to join in at that point and lead them to success. On the other hand, if Everton find themselves fighting to avoid relegation with only four games remaining, you can come in and save the day by ensuring they remain in the top division.

With the assistance of Live Start Points, you will be able to identify the most potential storylines in the world of football. It will be solely your decision on how these narratives unfold.

It is important to mention that this feature will not be accessible upon release, but will be included in a future update.

Icons in Player Career

Make past and present collide by starting an Icon Player Career mode.

In EA FC 25, the Player Career Mode allows players to take on the role of Icons in a contemporary setting. With inherited stats, PlayStyles, and Player Roles, you can use these legendary players to make a mark in the history of your chosen club. It is yet to be seen if the developers will include any unique features for the Icon Career Mode to distinguish it from a regular Player Career Mode.

At the start of the game, players will have the option of selecting Andrea Pirlo, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Kelly Smith, and Thierry Henry in Career Mode. Additionally, those who purchase the Ultimate Edition will have the added bonus of being able to play with the Galatico trio of David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane, and Ronaldo.

Youth Academy Revamp

The Youth system in EA FC 24 has received numerous complaints regarding its shortcomings, prompting EA to take action. One of their responses includes the ability to send scouts to 160 countries. Additionally, players can now request scouts to search for up to four positions and three focus roles, further expanding their options.

The young prospects will continue to age and their facial characteristics will reflect this. As for the youth players, you now have the opportunity to directly contribute to their growth rather than sending them away on year-long loans. This can be achieved through the new Rush mode, which is seamlessly incorporated into both Manager and Player Career modes.

You have the opportunity to arrange tournaments every two months and have your youth players participate in 5v5 games. During these tournaments, you can choose to use their current ratings or their maximum potential ratings to determine if investing time in their development will be beneficial.

Player Origins

Player Origins, true to its name, provides a background story for your personalized football player. EA FC 25 will offer a diverse range of origin tales, each one influencing your character’s demeanor, behavior, and potentially affecting specific attributes. Below are the currently known Player Origins:

  • Clean Slate
  • Great Expectations
  • Climb to the Top
  • Return to Glory

The names give a clear indication of their corresponding backstories. Utilizing Player Origins allows for greater control over the narrative surrounding your character.

Social Media changes

The EA FC 25 Career Mode will feature an enhanced Social Media section, with the inclusion of user comments on player performance and general discussions about the sport. Reputable publications will also report on in-game news, mirroring real-life coverage. Additionally, renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano will contribute to the game with his trademark “Here We Go”announcements of transfer deals.

So far, the Career Mode features we know about in EA FC 25 are limited to those that have been mentioned.
