Fortnite’s fifth chapter of Season 4 has arrived and with it come significant alterations to the loot pool. These modifications include the introduction of new weapons, the revival of some beloved classics, and the elimination of others.
The current season on the island boasts a Marvel aesthetic, evident in the addition of POIs such as Castle Doom and the Raft. This theme is also reflected in the variety of loot available, including hero-themed items and Mythics that can be obtained by defeating well-known NPCs.
The loot pool in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 has been updated with these changes.
New weapons in Fortnite this season
- Dual Micro SMGs
- War Machine’s Arsenal
- Monarch Pistol
- Sovereign Shotgun
In Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, the island is introduced to four new guns, with three of them being fairly standard. The Dual Micro SMGs allow players to increase their firepower by wielding a small machine gun in each hand, unleashing a barrage of bullets, but at the cost of sacrificing some accuracy.
The Monarch Pistol is known for its exceptional accuracy, while the Sovereign Shotgun is the popular lever-action shotgun of this season. Each of these weapons also has a Mythic variant that can be obtained by either speaking to or defeating Gwenpool, Doombot, and Mysterio, respectively.
At the same time, War Machine’s Arsenal provides your characters with an Auto Turret and Hover Jets, enabling you to fly and shoot from a higher vantage point.
Gwenpool is one of the many new Marvel characters this season.
All Unvaulted Weapons in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4
- Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets
- Captain America’s Shield
- Striker Burst Rifle
- Striker Assault Rifle
- Combat Assault Rifle
- Ranger Pistol
- Hammer Pump Shotgun
- Gatekeeper Shotgun
- Hyper SMG
- Shockwave Grenade
In addition to the new guns, old favorites from the previous era of Fortnite have also made a comeback. Many of these were heavily featured during the first Marvel season, while others were carried over from last season.
The upgraded version of Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets has made a comeback and they have been improved significantly. In addition to their original attacking capabilities, they now have the ability to shoot a repulsor beam similar to Iron Man’s Repulsors. However, this feature causes the gauntlets to overheat.
Captain America’s iconic shield returns with a new charge attack and the added ability to block while sliding or jumping, making its comeback since the Endgame LTM in Chapter 1.
Chapter 5 Season 4 brings back some popular weapons.
Vaulted Weapons
- Heavy Impact Sniper

- Oscar’s Frenzy Auto Shotgun
- Hand Cannon

As anticipated, the majority of weapons that aligned with the previous theme have been removed from Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4. This includes Nitro Fists and the Boom Bolt, which were primarily utilized to counter the prevalence of vehicles in Season 3.
Despite several changes, one of the most unexpected alterations is the elimination of the Heavy Impact Sniper, resulting in the absence of a single-shot rifle in the game. However, players who enjoy long-distance battles can still rely on the Huntress DMR as it remains in the game, catering to their preferred play style.
As Chapter 5 Season 4 progresses, it is expected that Epic Games will continue to make changes to the loot pool. In the meantime, players can focus on unlocking the new Battle Pass skins and completing the Weekly Quests.
