EA FC 25 is set to introduce a host of gameplay changes to the longstanding franchise, along with a variety of new skill moves that can be executed on the field. Each new installment of the series brings with it new skill move animations, and the newest release will showcase four additional moves as well as alterations to existing ones.
Although it is yet to be determined how useful they will be in online matches, here is a list of all the new skill moves introduced in FC 25.
New skill moves in FC 25
- Big Feint (2-star)
- Hold L2 + Flick RS left/Right (+ LS Direction to Exit) || Hold LT + Flick RS left/Right (+ LS Direction to Exit)
- Stop and Go (2-star)
- Hold L2 + RS Back, Forward || Hold LT + RS Back, Forward
- Step Over Ball (4-star)
- Hold L1 + Flick RS Forward, Left/Right || Hold LB + Flick RS Forward, Left/Right
- Toe Drag Stepover (5-star)
- Hold L1 + Rotate RS Right, Back, Left / Rotate RS Left, Back, Right || Hold LB + Rotate RS Right, Back, Left / Rotate RS Left, Back, Right
Big Feint involves using a small amount of trickery to deceive the player’s opponents by pretending to step over the ball and then quickly redirecting it in the opposite direction. In Stop and Go, the player abruptly stops their movement while keeping the ball in motion, causing confusion for the defenders.
The Step Over Ball skill, rated at 4 stars, allows you to execute a fast 180-degree turn by stepping over the ball, then turning back and changing directions. Another advanced move, known as the Toe Drag Stepover, involves a reverse stepover followed by a toe tap to move the ball forward. This move is completed with quick stepovers, leaving defenders confused as you accelerate past them.
The Stop and Go and Step Over Ball animations can both be interrupted in the middle.

- Drag Turn (4-star) – updated animation to be more responsive and effective in correct situations
- Drag Back Spin (4 Star) – Has been moved to Hold L2 + Flick RS Forward, Flick Left/Right || Hold LT + Flick RS Forward, Flick Left/Right
- Added new 180° Flair nutmeg (4-star) animation
- Hold L1 + R1 + Flick RS Direction || Hold LB + RB + Flick RS Direction
Along with the addition of new skill moves, EA FC 25 will also incorporate new celebrations and a revamped FC IQ tactical system in order to enhance the gameplay experience.
