The latest season of Overwatch 2, Season 10, has unveiled a unique theme known as Mirrorwatch, in which virtuous Heroes have been transformed into malevolent characters and vice versa. However, it is important to understand the various organizations within the Overwatch universe and their members.

Despite being a first-person shooter, Overwatch 2 has a rich lore behind its beloved Heroes and their origins. In fact, there are several known organizations that contribute to the intricate storylines that make up the world of Overwatch.

These organizations include Talon, Overwatch itself, and Vishkar.

Who are the Members of Talon in Overwatch 2?

Talon is a major antagonist organization in Overwatch 2, notorious for their terrorist activities. The game features in-game characters Doomfist, Reaper, and Moira as leaders of Talon, alongside Sanjay Korpal and Maximilien.

It is believed that Zenyatta, along with Sombra, Sigma, Mauga, Widowmaker, and Baptiste, are agents of Talon. However, there are suspicions that Zenyatta may have been coerced into joining the organization rather than doing so willingly.

Talon, under the leadership of Doomfist, consists of diverse members with the aim of strengthening humanity through conflict. In the Overwatch universe, they are often criticized for their controversial methods of creating chaos in order to achieve their mission.

In the beginning of Talon’s establishment, they were perceived by the general public as a group that undertook security tasks authorized by corporate executives. This resulted in the recruitment of individuals who were most likely unaware of the organization’s true intentions.

Despite initially being inspired by the good life promised by the jobs he did for Talon, Baptiste was devastated when he discovered their true nature. However, he is now trapped in the organization, as it is widely known that leaving Talon is equivalent to a death sentence.

Overwatch 2 Organization

The game Overwatch 2 drew its name from the renowned Overwatch organization, which had been created during the Omnic Crisis as an international group. Soldier: 76, Reaper, Reinhardt, Ana, Cassidy, Torbjorn, Winston, Tracer, Genji, and Moira were among the founding members of this organization.

Echo, Brigitte, Mercy, Bastion, Pharah, D.Va, Lucio, Cassidy, Sojourn, and Zarya are all part of the Overwatch team. However, Moira and Reaper have left to join Talon, and Genji was initially a member of the Blackwatch division within Overwatch.

Cassidy, Genji, and Moira were all originally part of Blackwatch.

The Overwatch organization was established in response to the Omnic war, which was a period of extreme violence and turmoil in the Overwatch universe. This elite strike unit was formed by selecting the most skilled soldiers and utilizing top-of-the-line technology from the UN.

After the war, Overwatch persisted in their efforts to maintain peace and aid in reconstruction on a global scale. They experienced a period of success, establishing multiple watchpoints in locations such as Gibraltar and Antarctica, securing a headquarters in Sweden, and enlisting numerous agents to join their mission.

Despite their earlier successes, Overwatch’s power and influence began to decline during their final years. This was due to mounting accusations of corruption, including human rights violations, mismanagement, and failures in their missions. As a result, Overwatch’s reputation as a trustworthy organization was called into question and they faced challenges in maintaining their positive image.

Blackwatch in Overwatch 2

During Overwatch’s final years, Blackwatch was exposed as a covert division responsible for carrying out the organization’s more unsavory missions, which they did not want to be linked to.

The UN was compelled to launch a thorough investigation into Overwatch after multiple reports of assassination, coercion, kidnapping, and torture emerged. As a result, public trust in Overwatch plummeted and their headquarters in Switzerland was targeted and destroyed. This led to the presumed deaths of both Reaper and Soldier: 76.

According to anonymous reports, the deteriorating relationship between Reaper and Soldier was believed to be the cause of Overwatch’s downfall. These sources also claimed that their conflict led to the explosion at HQ that resulted in both of their deaths. However, it has since been revealed that this was not the true story and that both Reaper and Soldier are still alive today.

What role does the Vishkar Corporation play in Overwatch 2?

Vishkar is responsible for overseeing the Architect Academy, where students are trained in the art of light-bending.

Despite their focus on providing housing, clean water, and clinics for the public, Vishkar is not necessarily a benevolent corporation as they are willing to achieve their goals at any cost.

In particular, they have deliberately caused harm to communities in order to establish their upscale properties such as luxury retreats and exclusive clubs. Adding to their unethical practices, Sanjay Korpal, a prominent member, was involved in a covert partnership with Talon.

Despite studying under Vishkar, Lifeweaver faced rejection from his schoolmates due to his vocal opposition to their methods. In response, he developed his own technology called Biolight and ultimately left the company when they attempted to claim ownership of it.
