Confirmed Payday 3 DLC for Year 1
As outlined in its Year 1 roadmap, Starbreeze has announced the release of four major Payday 3 DLC expansions by the end of 2024. The list of confirmed paid DLC is provided below (pricing and exact release dates are yet to be determined):
- DLC 1 – Syntax Error (Released 12th December 2023, free to owners of the Gold & Silver Editions)
- New heist “Syntax Error“, Weapon Pack & Tailor Pack, Preacher Pack, Drifter Pack, Island Skin
- DLC 2 – Boys in Blue (Releasing 27th June 2024, free to owners of the Gold & Silver Editions)
- New heist “Boys in Blue” , Weapon Pack & Tailor Pack.
- DLC 3 – The Land of the Free (Releasing Summer 2024, free to owners of the Gold Edition)
- DLC 4 – Fear and Greed (Releasing Fall 2024, free to owners of the Gold Edition)
These additions bring new heists, weapons, and cosmetics to the game in order to enhance the constantly expanding selection of content. In addition to these, there is also complimentary content available for all players, such as the Clover character pack which will be released alongside Boys in Blue.
The Trifecta Lootbag, originally only available as a pre-order bonus, is now also available for individual purchase. This includes the Venomous Verdigris mask, Cotton Stripes gloves, and Obsidian Glitz suit.
On June 14th, 2024, Starbreeze made an announcement regarding changes to DLC pricing and compensations for those who had purchased earlier DLC. In a blog post as part of Operation Medic Bag, the developer revealed that DLC prices would be reduced by approximately 33%. Additionally, customers who had purchased the Syntax Error DLC, as well as the Silver and Gold Editions, would receive compensation for their early buy-in with exclusive cosmetic items previously only available through microtransactions.
Those who own Syntax Error receive the Preacher Pack, Drifter Pack, and Island Skin. In addition, Silver Edition owners will also receive the Heavy Hitter pack, and Gold Edition owners will receive the Assassin Pack.
