Point Hope Lighthouse, a small map introduced in the Eventide update for Phasmophobia, offers new locations for each Cursed Possession found in the game.
Knowing the fixed location of each spawn on every map allows for quick identification of the game piece in play. Therefore, on Point Hope, you can easily locate all spawn points.
Where to Find Cursed Objects in Point Hope
Tarot Cards
The Tarot Cards are on the first floor.
The Tarot Cards can be located on a small wooden table to the right of the Living Room’s first floor.
As soon as you enter, turn right and you will find yourself in the Living Room where the lighthouse tent is located. The Tarot Cards can be found on a small end table between two chairs on the right side of the room.
Haunted Mirror
This Mirror will show you where the ghost is hiding.
The Haunted Mirror is located on the third floor, positioned against a counter on the opposite side of the room.
Climb the stairs until you reach the room filled with wine bottles. The Haunted Mirror can be found leaning against a cupboard on the opposite side of the room.
Ouija Board
Hidden in the game room, the Ouija Board will answer your questions.
The Ouija Board is located on the fourth floor of the game room, placed on a shelf beneath the main looping spot.
Upon entering the room, the Ouija Board may not be immediately visible. However, if you direct your attention to the shelves located in the center of the room, right beside the Pool Table, you will be able to locate it.
Summoning Circle
The Summoning Circle is in the bathroom.
The Summoning Circle can be located on the floor of the bathroom on the fifth floor.
As you ascend in Point Hope, you will come across more rooms with doors that must be entered. The bathroom in this area contains the Summoning Circle, which will become visible upon opening the door.
Music Box
The Music Box is on the dresser just to the right of the master bedroom.
The Music Box can be located on a dresser in the master bedroom situated on the sixth floor.
This room also requires you to open a door to enter, but it is the sole room on the second floor so locating it should not be difficult. Upon entering the bedroom, the Music Box can be found on a dresser to your immediate right.
Voodoo Doll
The Voodoo Doll is in the children’s bedroom, which feels apt.
You can locate the Voodoo Doll in the children’s bedroom on the seventh floor, placed on a dresser.
Upon reaching the seventh floor, proceed to open the door that leads to the children’s bedroom. Search for the Voodoo Doll towards the back of the room, where it can be found sitting atop a dresser in a slightly slumped position.
The Story of the Monkey Paw
The Monkey Paw will help you out if you want to do some woodwork on the eighth floor.
As you reach the eighth floor, you will find the Monkey Paw sitting on a table just at the top of the stairs.
The eighth floor of Point Hope serves as a workshop, resulting in several miscellaneous items scattered about. As you enter the room, your eyes are immediately drawn to a table on which the Monkey Paw sits.
What do Cursed Possessions do?
Phasmophobia features Cursed Possessions, which are highly influential objects that aid in ghost detection, visibility, and self-defense.
Typically, a single Cursed Possession will appear during a contract, unless the difficulty level is set to Insanity. Each one serves a distinct purpose, such as requesting Sanity from the Monkey Paw or using the Haunted Mirror to locate the Ghost Room.
Cursed Object Mechanics
- The Haunted Mirror reveals the location of the Ghost Room, but be cautious as gazing into it for prolonged periods will cause it to shatter and trigger a hunt.
- To summon the ghost, light the candles within the Summoning Circle. A hunt will commence a few seconds after the ghost appears.
- Voodoo Doll – Every pin pricked into the doll will trigger a ghost interaction or event, and pushing the pin in the heart will initiate a hunt.
- To activate the ghost, play the Music Box and it will begin singing, revealing its current location. Once the song ends, the ghost hunt will commence.
- The Ouija Board allows you to inquire about the location and age of the ghost. Asking an excessive amount of questions will cause the board to ignite and trigger a hunt, with the number of questions varying randomly before this occurs.
- Tarot Cards – Draw random cards of which each have a special ability:
- The Tower doubles ghost activity for 20 seconds.
- The Wheel of Fortune will give you 25% sanity or take away 25% sanity, depending on if it burns green or red respectively.
- The Fool randomly selects another card to appear as before burning purple and revealing itself. It has no effect.
- The Devil triggers a ghost event.
- Death triggers a cursed hunt.
- The Hermit traps the ghost in its favorite room for one minute.
- The Sun fully restores your sanity to 100%.
- The Moon instantly drops your sanity to 0%.
- The High Priestess will revive a randomly chosen player, or if no one has died, the next player who falls victim to the ghost.
- The Hanged Man instantly kills the player holding the Tarot Cards
