Tiers in College Football

Tiers function as a system in College Football 25 that categorizes teams based on their strength, primarily determined by their overall and conference performance. For instance, top-performing teams such as Alabama and Ohio State are placed in Tier 1, while other formidable teams like Penn State and Oklahoma State, who are consistently strong but not typically contenders for the National Championship, are classified in Tier 2, and so on.

The Tier function plays a crucial role in the online ranked Road to the National Championship mode. It allows players to choose which Tier team they want to play against. It is worth noting that defeating a higher-tier team will result in greater progress, while defeating a lower-tier team will result in less progress.

In order to earn the “What an Upset”achievement/trophy, College Football players must defeat a team from a higher tier.

This is everything you should be aware of regarding the teams in College Football 25.
