All Teams Qualified for League of Legends World Championship 2024

The highly anticipated LoL Worlds 2024 is quickly approaching, and teams are already starting to secure their spots for the biggest international event in League of Legends of the year.

The 2024 League of Legends (LoL) World Championship will commence on September 25 and serves as the culmination of the year’s competitive LoL events.

Despite the fact that each team must qualify for Worlds 2024 in a unique way, securing one of the 20 slots at the event is no simple task.

Here is a list of all the teams that have currently qualified, along with the process they went through to secure their spot. Additionally, the remaining teams must fulfill certain criteria in order to secure their place in the competition.

List of Teams Qualified for LoL Worlds 2024

Only two teams have currently secured their positions for Worlds 2024 so far.

Gen.G, the team that emerged victorious at MSI 2024, secured a guaranteed spot at Worlds 2024 by winning the first major international tournament of the year, ensuring their place in the playoffs.

Despite the LCK regular season not being over, the Gen.G team has performed exceptionally well and is currently at the top of the standings, ensuring their spot in the playoffs.

After securing a 3-0 victory over Fnatic in the LEC Summer 2024 Finals, G2 Esports earned their spot at Worlds 2024 despite facing a significant gold disadvantage in each game.

There have been significant changes since the previous World Championship. For example, the APAC region now includes the PCS (Southeast Asia), LJL (Japan) and LCO (OCE). As a result, this could mark the first time in ten years that a Japanese team fails to qualify for Worlds, should the PCS emerge victorious in the finals.

Moreover, 2024 marks the final year in which the LCS, LLA, and CBLOL will continue to operate in their current structure. The process of qualifying for Worlds in the upcoming year will undergo significant changes.

Below is a comprehensive breakdown of the qualifying process for each team, categorized by region and stage.
