All Warzone and MW3 weapon buffs and nerfs – Season 2

Each Call of Duty Season is an opportunity for developers to implement many new features in Warzone and MW3, but also to consolidate existing foundations.

Thus, weapons and accessories are systematically entitled to buffs or nerfs in order to renew the meta and bring back options that are too dominant or too weak.

Without further ado, here are all the buffs and nerfs brought to weapons and accessories in Warzone and MW3: Season 2, and translated from the official Warzone and MW3 patch note

Weapon Balancing – Warzone Season 2

General

  • We have reduced the recoil on all weapons when used in tactical stance.
  • Several improvements have been made to weapons in Modern Warfare II:
    • Assault rifles

Assault rifles

  • RAM-7 (MWIII)
    • Mid-range damage reduced to 24, down from 28.
    • Min damage reduced to 22, down from 25.
  • MCW (MWIII)
    • Increased aim time to 265ms, up from 240ms.
    • Increased sprint-to-shot delay to 252ms, up from 241ms.
  • Holger 556 (MWIII)
    • Increased aim time to 270ms, up from 260ms.
  • TR-76 Ghost (MWII)
    • Headshot damage modifier reduced to 1.25x, down from 1.3x.
    • Chest damage modifier increased to 1.15x, up from 1.05x.
    • Arm and hand damage modifier increased to 1.15x, up from 0.96x.

Combat rifles

  • BAS-B (MWIII)
    • Max damage reduced to 30, down from 35.
    • Increased sprint-to-shot delay to 252ms, up from 231ms.
    • Increased aim time to 270ms, up from 260ms.
    • Increased the minimum dispersion in random shooting to 2.9°/s, compared to 2.3°/s previously.
  • MTZ-762 (MWIII)
    • Damage override in semi-automatic has been removed.
    • The weapon now deals the same damage in semi-automatic as in automatic.
  • Sidewinder (MWIII)
    • Increased bullet speed to 600m/s, up from 540m/s.
    • Significantly reduced weapon recoil and jerk.
    • JAK Thunder LMG Kit
      • Increased the delay before the boosted fire rate begins to decrease to 500ms, up from 200ms.
      • Reduced Accelerated Fire Rate decay rate to 240rpm/s, down from 300rpm/s.
      • Increased weapon jerk control and recoil by 35%.

Submachine guns

  • HRM-9 (MWIII)
    • Maximum damage range reduced to 12.9m, instead of 16.5m.
  • WSP-9 (MWIII)
    • Maximum damage range increased to 18m, instead of 16.5m.
    • Short-medium damage range increased to 26.7m, instead of 22.9m.
    • Aiming time reduced to 220ms, instead of 240ms.

    • Sprint-to-shot delay increased to 252ms, up from 210ms.
    • Sprint-to-shot delay increased to 340ms, up from 330ms.

    • Sprint-to-fire delay reduced to 235ms, down from 250ms.

    • Sprint-to-fire delay reduced to 199ms, down from 216ms.

    • Neck damage multiplier reduced to 1.0x, down from 1.62x.

    • Aiming time reduced to 245ms, instead of 271ms.
    • Minimum random fire dispersion reduced to 4.1deg/s, instead of 5deg/s.
    • Maximum scattershot dispersion reduced to 10deg/s, instead of 12.1deg/s.
    • Bullet speed reduced to 930m/s, instead of 1,016m/s.
  • LM-S (MWII)
    • Swing intensity while aiming reduced
  • Crossbow (MWII)
    • Neck damage multiplier increased to 3x, up from 1.2x.
    • Lower limb damage multipliers increased to 1x, up from 0.9x.
    • We’ve standardized the damage zones on the Crossbow, making the profile more uniform and expanding the kill zone from the head to include the neck.

    • Deadly headshot within its Max Damage Range.
    • Maximum damage range increased to 50.8 meters.
  • Longbow (MWIII)
    • Min damage reduced to 73, down from 75.
    • Aim time reduced to 520ms, instead of 550ms.

    • Short-medium damage range reduced to 62.3m, instead of 67.4m.
  • SP-X 80 (MWII)
    • Aim time increased to 545ms, up from 521ms.

Prop Balancing – Warzone Season 2

JAK BFB silencer

  • Hit control bonus reduced to 55%, down from 60%.
  • Vertical knockback control bonus reduced to 35%, down from 40%.
  • Aim time penalty increased to 15%, up from 12%.
  • Sprint to shot delay penalty increased to 14%, instead of 11%.
  • Movement speed penalty when aiming increased to 17%, up from 14%.
  • Added an 18% penalty to bullet speed.

Weapon Balancing – Modern Warfare 3 Season 2

  • Reduced the melee charge distance of all MWIII weapons to align with MWII standards.
  • Increased movement speeds of all MWII weapons to align with MWIII standards.
  • Added bonus hit control and recoil control in Tactical Stance to all weapons.

Assault rifles

  • Aiming time increased from 260ms to 270ms (+4%).

  • Aiming time increased from 240ms to 265ms (+10%).
  • Sprint to shot delay increased from 241ms to 252ms (+5%).

      • Delay before the rate of fire decrease begins increased from 200ms to 500ms (+150%).
      • Fire rate decrease reduced from 300rpm/s to 240rpm/s (-20%).
      • Increased hit control and knockback by 35%.

    • Maximum damage range increased from 35.6m to 43.2m (+21%).
    • Damage range at short-medium range increased from 48.3m to 55.9m (+16%).
