All Weapon Buffs and Nerfs in MW3 and Warzone Season 5

The long-awaited arrival of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 5 brings with it another round of significant weapon changes that are sure to disrupt the current meta.

In recent weeks, the developers of Modern Warfare 3 have been implementing major updates to the game’s extensive collection of weapons. These changes have had a significant impact on Warzone, as the previously dominant KAR98K has been dethroned in Season 4.

Since then, players have continued to advocate for additional changes, as a significant number feel that the current meta has become stagnant.

The Superi 46, which has long been paired with the KAR98K, has been one of the main offenders in this regard. Fortunately, fans of the battle can rejoice as the SMG has finally been nerfed.

In a major update for Season 5, the developers have significantly reduced the movement speed of the SMG. This adjustment also applies to the FJX Horus, which has been a crucial component of the meta. Additionally, the SMG’s damage ranges have been nerfed.

The Holger 26, which is another popular meta choice, has also undergone changes to its torso damage modifier.

The Superi 46 has dominated.

The Bas-B and BAL-27 have received noteworthy buffs, on the other hand. Additionally, several MW2 weapons such as the Minibak, M4, and Vaznev-9K have also been given attention and may potentially emerge as strong contenders.

Just like before, certain adjustments will only impact the Multiplayer modes in Modern Warfare 3, while others will only affect Warzone. Therefore, it is important to keep this in mind when modifying your loadouts.

Warzone Weapon Changes

Assault Rifles

MCW stands for “Medical College of Wisconsin”.

  • Lower Torso Modifier increased to 1.1x, up from 1x

This brings it to the same TTK as the upper torso and arms, leading to more consistent long range engagements.

SVA 545 remains unchanged.

  • The Max Damage Range has been raised from 31.75 to 36.83 meters.

The paragraph remains the same.

  • The Max Damage Range has been raised to 26.67 meters from its previous measurement of 21.59 meters.
  • Reduced horizontal recoil strength, resulting in improved predictability when firing continuously.
  • To enhance its long-range effectiveness, the overall recoil magnitude has been reduced.
  • Improved overall recoil consistency, resulting in a more predictable spread that can be easily managed at longer distances.

MTZ-556 remains unchanged.

  • The range for Near-Mid Damage has been extended to 60.96 meters, an increase from the previous range of 50.8 meters.

M4 (MWII) refers to the fourth installment in the Modern Warfare series.

  • The minimum damage has been raised to 21, previously it was only 17.
  • The Near-Mid Damage has been raised to 24, from its previous value of 21.
  • The Max Damage Range has been extended to 30.48 meters, a significant increase from its previous range of 25.4 meters.

Battle Rifles

BAS-B remains unchanged.

  • The Max Damage Range has been raised to 40.64 meters, a significant increase from the previous distance of 35.56 meters.

TAQ-V (MWII) remains unchanged.

  • The Leg Modifier has been raised to 0.9x from its previous value of 0.85x.

Types of Submachine Guns

AMR9 is still the same.

  • The Max Damage Range has been raised to 12.7 meters, a 1.03 meter increase from its previous measurement of 10.67 meters.
  • The Near-Mid Damage Range has been extended to 21.59 meters, a significant increase from the previous range of 17.78 meters.

The name of the brand is FJX HORUS.

  • The maximum damage range has been reduced to 8.63 meters, from its previous distance of 10.16 meters.
  • The Near-Mid Damage Range has been reduced to 17.27 meters, from its previous range of 20.32 meters.
  • The Mid Damage Range has been reduced to 25.91 meters, from its previous measurement of 30.48 meters.
  • The sprint to fire time has been raised to 110ms, a increase of 17ms from the previous time of 93ms.

SUPERI 46 remains the same.

  • The movement speed has been lowered to 4.9m/s, a decrease from the previous speed of 5m/s.
  • The crouched movement speed has been reduced to 1.9m/s, from its previous speed of 2m/s.
  • Reduced sprint speed to 5.8m/s, from its previous value of 5.9m/s.
  • The ADS movement speed has been reduced to 3.4m/s, a decrease from the previous speed of 3.6m/s.

WSP-9 refers to a specific code or identifier.

  • Legs Modifiers have been reduced to. 9x from 1x.

The WSP-9 is a great longer range SMG option, but we wanted to ensure you need to be more accurate with your shots to hit the intended TTK.

MINIBAK (MWII) is still the same.

  • The minimum damage has been raised to 26, a significant increase from the previous amount of 21.
  • The maximum damage range has been extended to 11.43 meters, compared to the previous distance of 8.38 meters.
  • The Near-Mid Damage Range has been extended to 21.59 meters, which is an increase from its previous measurement of 19.05 meters.
  • The modifiers for the Lower Torso have been raised to 1.1x, from their previous value of 1x.
  • The Arm and Hand Modifiers have been raised to 1.1 times their previous value of 0.95 times.

The course PDSW 528 (MWII)

  • The minimum damage has been raised to 19, from its previous value of 16.
  • The Near-Mid Damage has been raised to 24, an increase from the previous 22.

The VEL-46 (MWII) is still in use.

  • The damage for Near-Mid has been raised to 22, a slight increase from its previous value of 20.
  • The minimum damage has been raised from 15 to 16.
  • The modifiers for Arm and Hand have been raised to 1.1x from their previous value of 1x.

The model VAZNEV-9K (MWII) is still applicable.

  • The damage for Mid has been raised to 27, an increase from its previous value of 25.
  • The minimum damage has been raised from 20 to 23.
  • The maximum damage range has been raised to 11.43 meters from 8.89.

LIGHT MACHINE GUNS

The BRUEN MK9.

  • The Max Damage Range has been raised to 36.83 meters, an increase from the previous range of 31.75 meters.

HOLGER is 26 years old.

  • The Lower Torso Modifier has been reduced to 1x from its previous value of 1.1x.

The Holger 26 was a dominant long range choice this past season and while we want to keep it a viable long range option, it was slightly overperforming. This change makes it so you have to be a bit more accurate to get that intended TTK.

The PULEMYOT 762

  • The maximum damage range has been raised to 34.29 meters, an increase from the previous range of 27.94 meters.
  • The modifiers for the Upper and Lower Arm have been raised to 1.1x, from their previous value of 1x.

TAQ ELIMINATOR

  • The minimum damage has been raised from 24 to 28.
  • The maximum damage range has been raised to 39.37 meters, from its previous measurement of 33.02 meters.

EVOLVING TAQ

  • The Leg Modifier has been raised to 1.07x from its previous value of 1x.

SHOTGUNS

Reclaimer 18 is still operational.

  • An issue resulting in inconsistent damage dealt to enemies in both fire types has been fixed.
  • Semi-auto
    • Increased rate of fire to 200rpm, up from 182rpm.

The MWII KV BROADSIDE is the same as before.

  • JAK Jawbreaker Conversion Kit
    • Decreased vertical recoil by 20%.

Types of Handguns

COR-45 remains the same.

  • The rate of fire has been reduced to 240rpm, a significant decrease from the previous rate of 375rpm.
  • XRK v6 Match Trigger Action
    • Decreased rate of fire to 264rpm, down from 438rpm.
  • XRK v21 Heavy Match Trigger Action
    • Decreased rate of fire to 272rpm, down from 545rpm.

MELEE

Sledgehammer

  • Movement speed has been reduced by 22%.
  • The heavy swing melee range has been reduced to 3.2 meters from its previous measurement of 5.3 meters.

Modern Warfare 3 Weapon Changes

Assault rifles are a type of firearm that are designed for rapid fire and are commonly used in military and law enforcement operations.

    • Decreased horizontal recoil magnitude, allowing greater predictability during sustained fire.
    • Decreased overall recoil magnitude to aid in long-range effectiveness.
    • Decreased overall recoil deviation, ensuring a more predictable pattern that is easier to control at range.

Submachine guns are a type of firearm.

  • Over 46
    • Decreased movement speed from 5m/s to 4.9m/s (-2%).
    • Decreased crouched movement speed from 2m/s to 1.9m/s (-5%).
    • Decreased sprint speed from 5.9m/s to 5.8m/s (-2%).
    • Decreased ADS movement speed from 3.6m/s to 3.4m/s (-6%).
  • FJX Horus
    • Increased sprint to fire time from 93ms to 110ms (+18%).
    • Decreased maximum damage range from 13.7m to 11.4m (-17%).
    • Decreased near-medium damage range from 22.9m to 19m (-17%).
    • Decreased medium damage range from 29.7m to 25.4m (-15%).
    • Decreased far-medium damage range from 36.6m to 30.5m (-17%).

    • Fixed an issue causing inconsistent damage dealt to enemies in both fire types.
    • Semi-Auto Fire Type
      • Increased fire rate from 182rpm to 200rpm (+10%).
      • Increased hipfire spread by 12%.
    • Pump Action Fire Type
      • Increased hipfire maximum damage from 80 to 220 (+175%).
      • Increased hipfire maximum damage range from 2m to 3m (+50%).
      • Increased hipfire near-medium damage from 20 to 25 (+25%).

Using the Pump Action Fire Type, the Reclaimer 18 is now capable of killing enemies with one shot within its maximum damage range, and 2-shot kills are now more consistent.

  • KV Broadside (MWII)

      • Decreased vertical recoil by 20%.
  • MX Guardian (MWII)
    • Removed the ability to equip the incompatible GRV-Z Short Grip Underbarrel Attachment.

Light Machine Guns are not suitable for precision shooting due to their high rate of fire.

    • Increased upper arm and lower arm damage multipliers from 1x to 1.1x.

Marksman rifles are known for their accuracy and precision.

  • MTZ Interceptor
    • Decreased maximum damage range from 30.5m to 22.9m (-25%).
    • Decreased lower torso, upper arm, lower arm, and hand damage multipliers from 1x to 0.9x.
  • EBR-14 (MWII)
    • SO-90 Factory Stock
      • Fixed an issue causing players to become unable to move while aiming down sights.

Sniper rifles are a type of firearm designed for long-range shooting.

  • XRK Stalker
    • Increased upper leg, lower leg, and foot damage multipliers from 1x to 1.1x.

Within its maximum damage range, the XRK Stalker is now capable of a one-shot kill regardless of hit location.

  • Carrack. 300 (MWII)
    • Increased maximum damage range from 12.7m to 17.8m (+40%).
    • Increased near-medium damage range from 30.7m to 66m (+115%).
    • Removed medium damage range.

Firearms

  • COR-45
    • Decreased rate of fire from 375rpm to 240rpm (-36%).
    • XRK v6 Match Trigger Action
      • Decreased rate of fire from 438rpm to 264rpm (-40%).
    • XRK v21 Heavy Match Trigger Action
      • Decreased rate of fire from 545rpm to 272rpm (-50%).

COR-45 Trigger Action Attachments were previously more beneficial than intended. Due to negligible downsides, fire rate increases are generally kept below 50%. We’ll continue to monitor player feedback for potential improvements to base Handguns.

  • TYR
    • Increased maximum damage range from 5.6m to 8.9m (+14%).
    • Increased near-medium damage range from 11.4m to 15.2m (+33%).
  • GS Magna (MWII)
    • Removed the ability to equip the incompatible JAK NRG-IV Optic Attachment.

Melee refers to close combat or hand-to-hand fighting.

  • Sledgehammer
    • Decreased movement speed by 22%.
    • Decreased heavy swing melee range from 5.3m to 3.2m (-40%).
