Discover all the latest additions to Black Ops 6 Zombies, such as thrilling features, gameplay updates, and more.

The highly anticipated Black Ops 6 is the latest addition to the immensely popular Call of Duty series and is scheduled to launch on October 25, 2024.

As the release date draws near, developer Activision released a comprehensive blog post revealing a wealth of information about the game, with a particular emphasis on the popular Zombies mode. The post offers a deep dive into the Terminus map and its intel for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

Despite the immense popularity of the round-based game mode, the developers have made sure to preserve the core essence of the experience while also incorporating thrilling gameplay elements, weapons, and other updates to keep the game feeling new and exciting.

We have compiled a list of all the new features that will be available in BO6 Zombies and have detailed them below.

Black Ops 6 Zombies: All New Features and Changes

Save and Quit Feature

The save and quit button, a highly requested feature by Call of Duty players for years, will finally be introduced in Black Ops 6 Zombies among other new additions.

When engaging in a solo BO6 Zombies game, players will now have the option to save their progress and resume their run at a later point.

In addition, the game will have an automatic save function that activates after a designated period of inactivity. It should be noted, however, that players can only save their progress when their health is at maximum.

Augments

Augments provide further enhancements from weapons in Zombies

The introduction of Augments as a gameplay mechanic provides players with the ability to further customize and enhance their weapons, Equipment, Perks, and other important tools essential for a successful zombie run.

Augments are divided into two groups: Major and Minor. Major Augments offer “significant benefits”, while Minor Augments provide “limited benefits.”

In addition, each Perk, Ammo Mod, and Field Upgrade in Zombies offers three distinct Major and Minor Augments that can be unlocked.

Guided Main Quest Feature

Black Ops 6 Zombies will feature a cooperative quest that requires players to collaborate in order to successfully finish. Although incorporating a plot and objectives into Zombies is not a novel concept, BO6 seeks to simplify this aspect by introducing a novel guided main quest function.

The guided mode is designed to aid players in completing the main quest. However, Easter eggs and side quests will be inaccessible and rounds will be limited to align with the progress of the quest.

If you are new to Call of Duty Zombies, this mode will quickly become your closest ally as you begin playing.

New third-person camera angle

In a first for Call of Duty Zombies, players now have the ability to switch between first and third person perspectives.

Players no longer have to be confined to an FPS experience; they can now shift the camera back over the shoulder to gain a completely different perspective while battling through the hordes of Zombies lurking around every corner.

Shared door buys

In Zombies, buying doors is frequently necessary for advancing through the map and uncovering uncharted territories. Nevertheless, these doors come at a cost and the essence gained from defeating the undead can be utilized to access these uncharted paths.

Instead of constantly depending on a single player to save up and open the next door, players now have the option to split the cost. However, this option is not available for all doors, as only certain ones will have the ability to share the burden.

Ominimovement

Black Ops 6 is revolutionizing the way players can maneuver and navigate through Zombies with the introduction of the Ominimovement mechanic. Instead of just running and sliding to avoid the undead, Ominimovement offers players the ability to swiftly dive in any direction.

It is expected that this movement expansion will result in some impressive close saves and evasive maneuvers in Zombies, especially when trapped in a confined space or outnumbered by the approaching undead.

The Arsenal Machine is a recently released tool in Zombies that allows players to enhance their weapons and increase their damage output by utilizing Ammo mods.

According to the developers, Ammo Mods provide a weapon with a chance of causing a unique effect when a projectile successfully hits a target. However, only one Ammo Mod can be used on a weapon at a time, but players can purchase a new one when needed.

GobbleGum Rework

The Gobblegum system worked well in Black Ops 3 and were essential in Easter egg runs.

Despite the presence of GobbleGums in past CoD titles, Black Ops 6 will introduce a revamped system that prioritizes player convenience.

Equipping these candy items grants players a power-up. Additionally, players have the option to select up to five different types of GobbleGums for their loadout before beginning a new Zombies match.

New Wonder Weapons

Playing Call of Duty Zombies is made even more enjoyable by the opportunity to try out the game mode’s distinctive Wonder Weapons. Although traditional weapons are useful for defeating the undead, Zombies always offers a selection of special guns to aid in the round-based gameplay.

Two confirmed weapons in BO6 are the iconic Ray Gun and a new weapon named the Beamsmasher.

The weapon has the ability to switch between two firing modes: one that emits a powerful beam of energy which can disintegrate Zombies at the molecular level, and another that produces a soundwave capable of simultaneously incapacitating multiple enemies.

New Perk-A-Cola Flavor and Bonus

Black Ops 6 adds a brand new Perk-A-Cola into the mix

The Perk-A-Cola machine is an essential part of the Call of Duty Zombies experience. This in-game device provides players with valuable and distinctive tools that can be crucial in determining whether they survive the early rounds or make it far in the game.

Despite the inclusion of numerous familiar Perk-A-Cola boosts in BO6, the developers have also unveiled a completely new one known as Melee Macchiato.

As described in a blog post, this Perk-A-Cola purchase will substitute your weapon’s gun butt with a powerful punch that can launch enemies into the air.
