The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism (MCST) has launched an inquiry into allegations of BTS, the world-renowned K-pop group, hoarding music. KOCCA, which falls under the jurisdiction of the ministry, has verified the investigation, sparking a heated discussion among both fans and internet users.

On May 21, KOCCA declared that it would take charge of the inquiry into the accusations against BTS for music hoarding. The procedure may require gathering information from music streaming platforms and relaying results to the MCST. In the event of need, KOCCA may solicit assistance from courts or other investigative bodies. Any civil grievances pertaining to BTS will also be addressed through this process.

Despite facing accusations, HYBE, the agency representing BTS, has firmly denied the claims and suggested the possibility of taking legal measures. A representative for HYBE stated, “We categorically dismiss any allegations of music hoarding involving BTS.”
