Taemin dropped the initial teaser for his latest track “Sexy In The Air”on August 16th.
As the teaser spread on the internet, a few ARMYs (the name of BTS’s fandom) started to notice resemblances between Taemin’s video and Jimin’s past projects, including “Like Crazy”and “Set Me Free Pt.2”.
Despite the claims made, both netizens and Taemin’s fans were swift in their rebuttal, stating that if Taemin was indeed drawing inspiration, it was from his own past work. This was evident from the incorporation of elements and concepts that he has previously explored in the video.
In addition, numerous netizens stressed that any efforts to encourage fan wars between Taemin and Jimin are misguided, particularly considering the strong bond between the two idols.
Recently, concerns have been raised about the possibility of SHINee’s Taemin plagiarizing BTS’s Jimin, resulting in criticism towards the former.
