The new Legend, Alter, has the ability to “kidnap”enemies in Apex Legends, making it incredibly cruel. Thanks to this ability, players can now take control of their opponents and use them for their own advantage.
The main focus of Apex Legends Season 21 is Alter, a new Legend who has the unique ability to generate one-way portals that allow players to travel through objects such as walls and floors. Alter’s highly praised tactical ability, Void Passage, has been the subject of much discussion among players.
Despite it being just one day since the release of the latest Apex Legends season, players have wasted no time in discovering innovative ways to use Void Passage to surprise and “kidnap”unsuspecting enemies. This new tactic has been met with great enthusiasm from players.
A player of Apex Legends shared a video of their gameplay in Solo mode on Reddit. In the clip, they spotted two players engaged in a fight on a higher elevation. Using Void Passage, they brought one of the players down and secured an effortless kill.

The community was quick to brainstorm how they could apply the same tactical skill in various situations. A few players suggested that it would be exciting to split up from the third member and sneak around in trios.
Some believe that this approach will prove to be highly effective when dealing with the challenge of multiple teams spread out in buildings with multiple floors, as they wait for the ring to close during late Ranked games.
Despite this, there are players who believe that Alter has greatly affected the skirmisher class, stating that professional Apex teams will now have to find new ways to utilize her abilities in ALGS. They also joked that teams who rely on Controller Legends for camping will now have a tougher time.
Alter’s incredible skill had led many to speculate that it would be toned down in the upcoming split update. Only time will reveal Respawn’s approach to balancing Alter, and whether it is even necessary.
