Amado’s Daughter Akebi: A Potential Key Player in Boruto’s Future

Amado’s Daughter Akebi: A Potential Key Player in Boruto’s Future

Ever since the beginning of the manga, fans have been fixated on the flash-forward scene showcasing the intense battle between the older versions of Boruto and Kawaki. In this scene, both Shinobi are shown wielding the powerful Karma, but that’s not all – the main character also reveals his enigmatic dojutsu, the jogan.

Despite appearing to be a relatively weaker character in the Blue Vortex manga, Kawaki may not be a formidable opponent for Boruto to face at full strength. This has sparked speculation among fans that Kawaki will soon undergo a power boost in the manga. Interestingly, it is believed that Amado’s daughter Akebi Sanzu may be the one responsible for this increase in power.

This development could potentially explore the impact of the deceased character on the story in the new manga.

Warning: The following article contains spoilers for the Boruto manga.

Boruto: Akebi’s Return Could Be the Key to Kawaki’s Power-Up

In the sequel manga, Kawaki is seen putting in great effort to battle his adoptive brother and the Divine Trees. Despite his determination, he is unable to defeat them alone due to his lack of sufficient power. This goes against the flash-forward scene, where the protagonist relied on additional strength to fight Kawaki on equal footing. Therefore, it begs the question of how Kawaki will increase his power in the sequel manga.

Despite being the main reason for Kawaki’s current strength being weaker than Boruto’s, he is not a pure Otsutsuki like the protagonist. Following his attempt to eliminate Momoshiki by attacking Boruto, the Otsutsuki used the remaining data to save his host’s life. This resulted in Momoshiki being unable to be revived again, while Boruto was transformed into a full-fledged Otsutsuki.

This also implied that should the protagonist activate his karma, he would not only gain access to Momoshiki’s powers but also his battle experience. However, the same could not be said for Kawaki, as he lost his Isshiki Otsutsuki karma at 80% Otsutsufication and was unable to acquire his battle experience. As a result, before Kawaki lost his karma, he only possessed Isshiki’s powers and lacked his battle experience, rendering him vulnerable in confrontations with others.

Despite Amado implanting a second karma onto Kawaki, which contained his daughter Akebi Sanzu’s data, it did not accelerate his Otsutsufication. Rather, it only granted him access to Isshiki’s abilities. As a result, Kawaki was unable to fully reap the advantages of possessing an Otsutsuki karma.

In the future, how does Kawaki receive a power-up? It is likely that although Kawaki’s current karma prevents him from fully achieving Otsutsukification, it may still assist in granting him a power-up.

It is evident that the name Akebi is linked to the flower known as “Akebia quinata.”This flower bears a striking resemblance to the Thorn Soul Bulb, which could possibly provide insight into Akebi’s role in the manga.

If Akebi were to be revived at any point in the future of the manga, there is a possibility that she could be bitten by a Claw Grime and develop a Thorn Soul Bulb. Kawaki could then consume this Thorn Soul Bulb in order to gain abilities that would allow him to face the main character on an even playing field.

A parallel to the origins of the story, where Boruto used Scientific Ninja Tools to cheat during the Chunin exams, could be seen in a potential plot point where Kawaki, also a scientific ninja tool, utilizes the Thorn Soul Bulb to cheat in his fight against his adoptive brother.
