Ambulance Response at Terrifier 3 Screenings as Audience Members “Faint” in Theaters

For those heading out to see Terrifier 3, there’s no need for concern if you catch yourself feeling unwell during the screening: some cinemas are prepared with ambulances ready to assist amid accounts of audience members fainting and being nauseous from the film.

Clearly, Terrifier 3 doesn’t hold back. Fans of the previous installments won’t find this surprising. The franchise has already taken viewers to gruesome extremes, featuring harrowing scenes where women are severed from crotch to skull and teen girls are violently dismembered in their own bedrooms. So really, how shocking can this one be?

In summary, extremely shocking. France has placed a ban on the film for audiences under 18—a rare decision not seen since Saw III released back in 2006. There have also been numerous reports of fainting, illness, and audience members walking out during early preview showings.

In our review of Terrifier 3, we dubbed Art the Clown’s latest journey as “his most depraved and disturbing venture to date.” So, if you begin to feel queasy, don’t worry—there’s a chance an ambulance might be on standby just outside.

Posts circulating on X/Twitter displayed images of an ambulance stationed outside a theater in Chicago for the premiere of Terrifier 3.

“They had an ambulance standing by at the @musicboxtheatre showing of Terrifier 3 last night, and I thought that was unnecessary until the movie began. It has to be seen to be believed,” one user commented.

Another user humorously remarked, “While Terrifier 2 sent people to the hospital, Terrifier 3 might take folks to the morgue.”

This comes in response to cinemas posting warnings on door signs indicating: “This film contains extreme violence and excessive gore. “If you feel unwell, please seek assistance from a staff member. Personnel trained in first aid are available.”

At an Australian event, reports surfaced of two individuals collapsing and tumbling down the stairs due to the intensity of the film’s opening sequence. “Someone fainted and fell, striking their head because of how intense the opening of Terrifier 3 is. Oh my gosh. I hope that person is alright and hasn’t sustained a concussion,” another user wrote.

Director Damien Leone seems to view these accounts as “badges of honor,” but he also reminds fans in a recent tweet: it’s just a movie!
