Amelia Watson has announced the upcoming conclusion of her VTuber activities, but she will not be fully graduating from Hololive. Instead, she will transition to becoming an affiliate member of the agency.
In a shocking announcement during her stream titled ‘A Short Talk’ on September 20, Amelia stated, “I’m announcing the conclusion of Amelia Watson’s general activities, although technically not a Graduation by name.”
She further clarified, “My last stream will be on September 30, so we have just over eleven days left. I know that sounds kind of confusing, but an official post from the company will be up shortly explaining more details.”
Following her announcement, Hololive issued a statement, elaborating on her decision. In this X/Twitter post, they confirmed, “Although her channel activities will end, Watson Amelia will remain an affiliate of Hololive Production moving forward.”

The CEO of the VTuber agency, Yagoo, reiterated a similar message, expressing gratitude for Amelia’s contributions: “Thank you for all of your hard work streaming and growing with us until now, Amelia. Although things will change, we look forward to working with you again in the future. Please keep in touch!”

While specific details about what Amelia’s new affiliate role entails or the reasons behind her decision to end her VTuber activities were not disclosed, both the agency and Amelia have requested fans to refrain from further speculation. However, she did clarify that her choice was not motivated by any “personal or private” issues.
Many fans speculate that Amelia could transition into a producer role for Hololive EN, potentially filling the gap left by A-Chan, who graduated in June 2024. Yet, Amelia addressed this in a pinned comment during her stream, stating, “To clear up some misconceptions, I will not be joining staff,” thus leaving her future direction somewhat ambiguous.
In her pinned comment, Amelia also reassured fans that she would still be involved in Hololive projects “every once in a while,” indicating that this is not the last they will see of her.
Additional details regarding her role and future plans are anticipated soon. In the meantime, her community is encouraged to enjoy her remaining content, which will feature several endurance streams, a charity event, and a grand finale to celebrate her legacy.
