Amir Khan reveals KSI fight timeline amid offer to replace Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul

Amir Khan is optimistic that his potential bout with KSI will be officially announced within the next four weeks. He also issued a warning to both KSI and Jake Paul, stating that he intends to defeat them in his upcoming two fights by way of knockout.

Despite his previous success as the unified super-lightweight world champion, Khan has been inactive since his loss to Kell Brook, a fellow British boxer, in February 2022.

The individual, aged 37, has just come back from a two-year suspension for accidentally consuming the prohibited substance ostarine. While they are technically retired from the sport of professional boxing, there are rumors that they are contemplating a comeback.

Recently, it has been revealed that he is discussing a potential fight with UK influencer and boxing champion KSI in August. Taking to social media, Khan announced his intention to not only defeat KSI in 2024, but also defeat Paul in the beginning of 2025.

Khan has recently shared his optimism about securing a fight announcement with KSI within the next four weeks.

“According to Khan, if the deal is finalized, an announcement can be expected within the next four weeks and preparations will begin shortly after. He shared this with Offshore Poker Sites.

I prefer to compete in the UK because boxing fans always show up and the entire country will be rooting for me to defeat my opponent. He has chosen to face a formidable and potentially harmful adversary.

If he defeats KSI, Khan’s next desired opponent is Paul, with whom he wishes to fight after Paul’s match with Mike Tyson. The Paul vs Tyson match was originally set for July 20, but due to medical reasons, it was delayed after Tyson fell ill during a flight from Los Angeles to Miami.

According to reports, Netflix is determined to make Paul vs Tyson their first broadcasted boxing event and have rejected potential replacements to fight Paul on the originally scheduled July date.

Therefore, it is anticipated that the aforementioned bout will be rescheduled for the last quarter of 2024. While Khan was open to stepping in for Tyson in July, he is also interested in facing Paul if the latter triumphs over the ex-heavyweight titleholder.

“Although Mike Tyson’s prime is far behind him and he may not have the same skills as before, I still have the drive and determination to succeed. I am constantly training and staying in shape. He is facing someone who has only recently retired,”Khan stated.

“The negotiations have progressed to the point where they are considering bringing lawyers into the situation. As a prizefighter, I will only agree to the fight if it makes financial sense. Some of these YouTubers often take on more than they can handle.”

“He has expressed his desire to fight and once the contract is finalized, he will experience the consequences. At that point, he will realize that there is no going back. While he may see the fight as a publicity stunt, I am taking it seriously.”

“I would be willing to take on Mike Tyson’s place if the weights are fair, even if it means giving away 20 pounds. The weight difference is a crucial factor, as I am aware that Jake has significantly bulked up for his fight against Mike.”

“Although Jake is usually not that large, he has recently gained a significant amount of mass. It ultimately depends on his willingness to shed some of that weight and if we can come to a compromise.”

“Let’s wait and see, but I haven’t received any calls regarding that. It seems like they’re still planning to have Mike fight, and he’s not going to willingly endure a defeat beforehand.”

“Despite KSI’s confident words, if I end up taking a beating, I might as well defeat both of them. I intend to face KSI first and then knock out Jake Paul afterwards.”

“We will observe his performance against Mike Tyson, and if he is badly knocked out, I will not consider it. However, if he shows impressive skills, then it would be worth considering.”
