An iconic weapon from Advanced Warfare appears in the Rebirth Island trailer

The trailer for the return of Rebirth Island for Warzone Season 3 revealed not only the return of the fan-favorite Resurgence map, but also the return of the MORS sniper rifle from Advanced Warfare.

As you would expect from a Call of Duty game set in the distant future, Advanced Warfare featured a range of futuristic weapons using groundbreaking sci-fi technology.

One of these weapons was the MORS, a repeating rifle that quickly won over players with its quick maneuverability which made it effective for quickscoping.

Ten years later, the MORS is set to make a return as it appears in the trailer for Rebirth Island.

The MORS appears near the end of the Rebirth Island trailer.

A version of the MORS without glasses appears towards the end of the trailer, held by a soldier aboard a helicopter. If Advanced Warfare’s famous sniper does appear in Season 3, it will be his first return to a Call of Duty game since 2014. He was supposed to appear in COD Mobile as an Operator skill, but was later removed for unknown reasons.

Considering how previous DLC weapons were added to MW3 and Warzone, the MORS should be unlocked via the Season 3 Battle Pass.

The MORS isn’t the only iconic Advanced Warfare weapon expected to return in Season 3.

Indeed, leaks have revealed that the BAL-27 is also expected to make an appearance. It will be interesting to see how MORS will influence the Warzone meta, with one-shot snipers becoming much more prevalent in Season 2 following the XRK Stalker buff.
