Emily in Paris Season 3 Recap

Prior to delving into it, here is a concise summary of all the events that took place in the finale of Season 3 of Emily in Paris. As per usual, Emily (Lily Collins) was faced with numerous personal and work-related challenges.

Despite the challenges of balancing her allegiances between her American boss, Madeline (Kate Walsh), and her French mentor, Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), she ultimately made the decision to fully devote herself to Sylvie’s new agency, Agence Grateau, and remain in Paris.

Despite her best efforts, the situation did not go smoothly as she unintentionally annoyed her colleague Julien (Samuel Arnold) by accidentally stepping on his toes multiple times while working.

The exasperation on his face was evident when discussing Ami Paris, a client of Julien’s who requested Agence Grateau to run their campaign. During a brainstorming session for an advertisement, Emily chimed in with the idea of featuring Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and Camille (Camille Razat) as the focal point.

Despite the initial plan falling through, she and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) took over and shared a romantic kiss in a hot air balloon, creating the perfect moment for the advertisement.

On a personal level, Emily’s love life became even more complex. While her bond with Alfie grew stronger, her remaining sentiments for Gabriel added a layer of complication and transformed the love triangle into a square.

Upon Emily’s arrival, she witnessed Camille, Gabriel’s girlfriend, kissing Sofia, an artist who happened to be one of Camille’s clients. In the midst of this, Gabriel and Emily took a trip to Greece where, under the influence of alcohol, Gabriel revealed his feelings for Emily.

In addition, he had a suspicion that Camille was up to something, thinking that she may have traveled to Greece with another man.

Despite her reservations, Sylvie ultimately chose to give her marriage with Laurent (Arnaud Binard) another chance. Laurent’s plan to open another club in Paris played a major role in her decision, as she wanted him to stay in the city. However, she was less than thrilled to discover that JVMA CEO Louis de Leon (Pierre Deny) was one of the investors involved.

Louis is the father of Nico (Paul Forman), an old friend of Mindy’s (Ashley Park) from boarding school, and was previously Sylvie’s boss. However, Sylvie left their employment because of Louis’ inappropriate actions, although the details have yet to be fully disclosed.

Mentioning Mindy, she steadily advanced in her music career alongside Etienne (Jin Xuan Mao) and her former boyfriend, Benoit (Kevin Dias).

Mindy and Benoit encountered problems because she had reconnected with Nico, who returned to her life following his father’s company’s acquisition of Pierre Cadault’s (Jean-Christophe Bouvet) business.

By the conclusion of Emily in Paris Season 3, Mindy and Nico had rekindled their relationship and she had also reunited with her band. They were preparing for the Eurovision song contest, with their track ‘Mon Soleil’ submitted by Benoit.

Despite their initial struggles, Emily and Alfie managed to work through their issues and were able to attend Camille and Gabriel’s impromptu wedding. However, the ceremony took a dramatic turn when Camille declared that she could not marry Gabriel because she believed he still had feelings for Emily.

Alfie was given news he had been dreading, as he had always harbored doubts about Emily’s true feelings for the chef. Both Camille and Alfie quickly made their escape, with Alfie making it clear to Emily that he refused to be anyone’s backup option.

The finale of Emily in Paris Season 3 left viewers on the edge of their seats as Gabriel revealed to Emily that Camille informed him of her pregnancy upon returning from Greece. This revelation sets the stage for what is sure to be an eventful and dramatic Season 4.

Continuing from where we left off, Episode 1 begins with the aftermath of the wedding drama. Camille’s brother Timothee (Victor Meutelet) has recently posted an expose on the love triangle on TikTok, which has now gained widespread attention.

However, Emily remains resolute in her determination to concentrate on work. In fact, AMI is scheduled to come in for a meeting to discuss their campaign, and Sylvie advises her to let Julien take the lead and refrain from speaking.

Despite a minor problem, the upcoming stage includes AMI’s courtside box at the renowned French tennis tournament, Roland-Garros. Alfie and Emily have been selected to represent the face of the campaign and the company has requested their presence at the event to share a kiss on the famous kiss cam. This would not pose an issue if they were still together, however, they have since ended their relationship.

Sylvie visits Antoine (William Abadie) and learns that Catherine has filed for divorce. While they are talking, Alfie, Antoine’s financial advisor, joins them. Sylvie attempts to persuade Alfie to assist with the campaign, but he appears uninterested.

Despite Mindy’s band being in the running for Eurovision, they face a challenge at a meeting for the event where an advisor presents a lengthy list of preparations that they must finance independently.

Nico’s dad Louis has a JVMA suite at Roland-Garros, and he’s invited Mindy to join them. In a romantic gesture, Nico gives Mindy a couture outfit to wear to the event.

In preparation for the highly anticipated event, Laurent invites Sylvie to join him and Louis for a meeting. He hopes to gain her support for the club’s grand opening. Although hesitant at first, Sylvie eventually agrees, despite her clear discomfort with the situation.

At the Roland-Garros, Sylvie catches sight of Julien talking to Nico. As she approaches, Julien springs a surprise on her – he has received a job offer from JVMA with a significantly higher salary. Despite a brief argument, Julien ultimately decides to resign and storms off.

While she was listening, Mindy hears Nico talking to his father. She discovers that the outfit was not given to her as a gift, but rather as a means to appease Louis’ disdain for her fashion sense. Naturally, she is upset and decides to sell the outfit at a later time, using the money to support the band’s expenses for the Eurovision competition.

Upon seeing Emily in the crowd, she contemplates how she will handle the awkward kiss cam situation. However, at the final moment, Alfie appears and despite her attempts to apologize, he makes it clear that their relationship is over. As a small consolation, they share a kiss for the camera (at least there is one positive outcome).

The conclusion of the episode reveals further insight into Sylvie’s reluctance towards Louis. This is prompted by a reporter contacting her to discuss the JVMA boss and his questionable track record with female employees.

But that’s not all. During Emily’s meeting with Gabriel at his restaurant, he discloses that Camille has disappeared.

‘Love on the Run’ – Recap of Emily in Paris Season 4 Episode 2

Emily and Mindy come across a mysterious post written by Sofia, leading them to believe that Camille is currently in Greece with her. Emily leaves a message for Camille before reluctantly sharing the news with Gabriel, something she had been avoiding.

Until this point, he had no idea that Camille was being unfaithful to him and he is completely taken aback. At the same time, Luc (Bruno Gouery) is facing difficulties trying to fill the void left by Julien’s departure, while Nico is doing his utmost to make amends with Mindy.

Despite Sylvie’s struggle to forget the phone message, she ultimately agrees to help Agence Grateau launch Laurent’s club. This will mean working for Louis once again, a prospect she is hesitant about but ultimately accepts.

Julien is adjusting to his new position at JVMA’s headquarters, while Nico extends an invitation to Mindy to explore the brand closet and select any items she desires as a gesture of reconciliation. However, as she searches through the various garments, two female coworkers approach her and advise her to have a female companion with her, as it is expected for women to have a “buddy”when browsing through the company’s clothing.

Afterwards, while enjoying a glass of wine, she confides in Emily about Louis’ behavior of approaching women who are alone in the brand closet.

Mindy is worried about what to do next, considering the fact that Nico’s father is present and insisting that they try on the clothes in front of him. If they refuse, it implies that they are not familiar with the fashion industry, and if they comply, they may be subjected to harassment.

In a later scene from Emily in Paris Season 4 Episode 2, Sylvie, Laurent, and Louis come together for a meeting. While at work, Emily confesses that she witnessed Sylvie and Louis together and expresses her worries after hearing about the closet. Despite Sylvie’s reassurance that it’s all in the past, Emily points out that his recent behavior suggests otherwise.

After their conversation, Sylvie answers a phone call from the Le Monde reporter. However, she remains hesitant to discuss Louis with them.

Emily receives a call from Sofia, who informs her that she still has not been in contact with Camille since their last meeting. This means that Camille is indeed still missing.

During a work event, Emily recalls that she has Camille’s location saved on her phone while talking to Luc. She uses this information to locate Camille in Giverny, a commune in France where she has gone to find peace of mind.

Emily goes to fetch Camille, who eventually consents to return home – she is carrying Gabriel’s baby, after all. They both go back to Paris, only to discover Sofia at Gabriel’s restaurant.

The episode concludes on a positive note as Camille and Gabriel reconcile and decide to co-parent their child, even though they won’t pursue a romantic relationship. In a heartwarming moment, Camille and Sofia express their love for each other, causing Emily and Gabriel to exchange an uncomfortable smile as they witness the intimate display.

Emily in Paris Season 4 Episode 3 Recap: ‘Masquerade’

The chaos in Episode 3 begins as Camille and Sofia move into Gabriel’s flat, bringing the trio, Emily, and Mindy all into close quarters.

Agence Grateau is currently preparing for the release of Heartbreak, a fresh fragrance produced through a partnership between Maison Lavaux and Baccarat. In honor of this launch, they have arranged a masquerade ball.

Alfie was present at the meeting and it was obvious that there was still unresolved tension between him and Emily. As he was leaving, he ran into Camille, who shifted his perspective by pointing out that if Emily truly had lingering feelings for Gabriel, they would have already acted upon them.

Sylvie and Laurent continue their heated debate over JVMA’s role in the club’s opening. Sylvie reveals that Louis’ actions are simply an attempt to silence her, before divulging information about Le Monde’s investigation into his mistreatment of women. She warns Laurent that the details are disturbing, and she speaks from firsthand knowledge.

As Gabriel strolls through the streets of Paris, he notices Luc busy hanging lingerie on his houseboat. They engage in a conversation, but Luc appears restless. It soon becomes clear that the lingerie belongs to Marianne (Laurence Gormezano), the renowned Michelin restaurant reviewer from Season 3.

Despite successfully convincing Gabriel to leave, she overhears the conversation and becomes furious, accusing him of using her to help his friend’s restaurant receive a star. He vehemently denies this, but she warns him that his actions could harm her career and storms out.

Despite their earlier disagreement, Emily and Alfie seem to reconcile and engage in some playful banter at the masquerade ball. However, the love triangle persists as Gabriel arrives, with whom Emily also exchanges flirtatious gestures.

Despite their disagreement, Marianne ultimately chooses to attend the event, expressing her willingness to try again with Luc. In response, he invites her to join him on his houseboat.

In another location, Sylvie receives a message from the reporter informing her that she did, in fact, speak to her. The message expresses gratitude for Sylvie sharing her story and also includes a preview of the feature titled “Louis de Leon has designs on women.”

Upon running into Mindy, Sylvie expresses her belief that men such as Louis should face consequences for their behavior, to which Mindy concurs. However, their conversation is interrupted by a message from Nico, who urgently requests Mindy’s presence at his house instead of attending the ball.

Regarding the love triangle, the situation becomes even more intricate when Emily runs into the Baccarat representative, who happens to be wearing the same (outrageous, we might add) ensemble.

Despite being at a crossroads between Alfie and Gabriel, Emily ultimately chooses Gabriel. However, when Alfie encounters the Baccarat rep, he mistakenly believes she is Emily and proceeds to kiss her, declaring his desire for her.

To his surprise, she removes her mask and to make matters worse, he sees Emily and Gabriel leaving together.

After reconciling, Sylvie shares the story with Julien and suggests that he reconsider his position at JVMA. Antoine agrees that she made the right decision, but she is uncertain about how Laurent will respond.

At Nico’s house, he refuses to accept the accusations, but Mindy reveals that she has also heard rumors and that Louis may not be the person he believes him to be. Although he trusts her, he acknowledges that he will need her help during the consequences.

At last, Emily and Gabriel have finally reunited. However, their time together is far from easy as they struggle to find moments alone amidst the constant presence of Mindy, Sofia, and Camille.

Mindy is currently dealing with her own difficulties as Nico’s family is in “damage control”mode and they have been having arguments because she does not want to be involved.

Despite thinking that Louis couldn’t possibly become any more despicable, he goes ahead and withdraws the financing for Laurent’s club, resulting in the cancellation of their planned launch party. Sylvie offers her apologies, but he is more upset about not being informed of the situation. Sylvie clarifies that she never wanted to be perceived as a victim and tells him, “I wanted to take control of my own narrative.”

Despite the fact that Emily and Luc are facing a disaster with 500 RSVPs for a launch party that is currently not taking place, Sylvie has a solution in the form of her mother, Heloise, also known as the Queen of the Night.

Luc reveals that she was the proprietor of one of the most renowned clubs in Paris during the 1970s. Despite being vacant for two decades, she kindly permits Sylvie and Laurent to utilize it for their event.

In the fourth episode, Gregory Dupree makes a comeback as he presents a new collection from Pierre Cadault to Nico and Julien. The models make their entrance in fitted ensembles featuring fabric phalluses.

Nico is appalled and points out that this is not the right time because of his father’s current situation. However, Gregory argues that this is precisely the issue at hand: “Men can’t control their desires, so why should we act like they can?”Despite this, Nico insists on shutting down the conversation.

That night, Emily unexpectedly joins Gabriel for dinner and discovers that Sofia and Camille are also present. It has turned into a “menage a quatre”scenario. They are all trying out different desserts for Gabriel, who is searching for a pastry chef to help him achieve a Michelin star.

As the launch party continues, everyone is having a great time and fully embracing the atmosphere. To further add insult to injury for Louis, Gregory arrives with his models wearing penis pants, causing a stir and ensuring that the news will spread by morning.

Just as Mindy and the band take the stage, a noticeable energy seems to be present between her and Benoit. Even Luc, who is not one to typically notice these things, can sense it. But when Nico unexpectedly arrives, he makes it clear to Mindy that he supports her and is no longer willing to cover for his father’s actions.

In the finale of Season 4 Episode 4 of Emily in Paris, Emily and Gabriel openly express their desire for more personal space. They also inform the landlord, who is not fond of tenants, about Sofia and Camille’s stay at Gabriel’s place.

Luckily, the situation is actually in their favor. Despite being evicted from Gabriel’s place, the landlord happens to have another available apartment for rent. Coincidentally, it is conveniently located next door to Gabriel’s place.

Despite the baby on the way, the prospect of becoming one big happy family is not easily accepted by Emily or Sofia.

Emily in Paris Season 4 Episode 5 Recap: Trompe l’oeil

Despite finally hiring a pastry chef, Gabriel is facing some challenges as the chef is taking over his kitchen with elaborate creations, often incorporating the technique of “trompe l’oeil”to create realistic cakes. Nevertheless, Gabriel remains determined to achieve his goal of earning a Michelin star.

As they waited for Mindy’s friend Li (Elizabeth Tan) to arrive, Mindy and Emily indulged in the desserts. Li, who has recently become an entrepreneur, is seeking assistance from Agence Grateau to launch her business in France.

At the apartment building, Gabriel and Emily assist Camille and Sofia in settling into their new place next door. While Emily is at work, Sofia carries some boxes and comes back to see Gabriel and Camille embracing. Once again, she is reminded of the throuple dynamic.

After transitioning to the Agence Grateau offices, it is revealed that Julien has returned. The team is overjoyed to have him back. Sylvie approaches Luc with a request: she hopes that Marianne can utilize her connections to secure a reservation at a highly sought-after restaurant for Laurent’s upcoming birthday celebration.

Marianne is more than willing to comply, as it allows them to request a favor in exchange: granting Luc a salary increase.

During their visit to the flea market to search for furniture, Sofia and Camille engage in a heated debate regarding the purpose of the spare room. While Sofia envisions it as an art studio, Camille sees it as the perfect nursery for their upcoming baby. It is evident that their disagreement goes beyond mere interior design.

That evening, Sylvie and Laurent arrive for dinner, but are surprised to find out that Luc and Marianne have joined them for a double date. Sylvie is not happy about this, especially when she realizes that there is a hidden motive behind their invitation – to ask for a raise.

Marianne mentions that she will consider the discussion, noting that her husband’s birthday dinner may not be the best setting for it. As the bill is brought to the table, she assures that she will handle it, hoping it will help improve her relationship with Luc.

Instead of taking out her credit card, she cleverly hints to the staff that their Michelin rating could be in jeopardy if they don’t adjust the bill. Unfortunately, another patron overhears the exchange and rushes over to reveal a shocking revelation.

It is revealed that the man is an official Michelin star inspector. He exposes Marianne’s past firing due to unlawful dining practices and her misuse of her (fake) authority. As a result, Sylvie is left to cover the bill, and it renders Gabriel’s efforts pointless.

Things are not going smoothly at Sofia and Camille’s apartment. Sofia reveals that she had never intended to relocate to Paris, especially right across the hall from Camille’s former partner. She informs Camille that she is returning to her hometown of Athens, Greece and invites Camille to join her, but Camille is unable to take the leap. The two share a tearful farewell kiss before Sofia departs, leaving Camille heartbroken.

Despite some ups and downs, Emily and Gabriel’s relationship is going strong. Following a magical evening, they both express their feelings for one another and share a romantic kiss on a bridge with a view of the iconic Eiffel Tower. It’s a classic, cheesy moment that we can’t help but love from the addicting TV series.

Sylvie’s contacts at Galeries Lafayette, a prestigious Parisian department store, allowed her to arrange a demonstration of Li’s product. Despite initial hesitations due to its glass skin effect, customers are now loving the serum.

As Li continues to serve customers, Julien discovers something intriguing and shares it with the Agence Grateau team. The footage reveals that Li had appeared on an international edition of Shark Tank, showcasing the same product. However, it was initially marketed as a lubricant for sexual pleasure.

As they ponder what to do with the new information, the Galeries Lafayette representative proudly walks over to display her freshly polished appearance. Struggling to find the right words, Emily saves the situation by chiming in and suggesting they increase the price (while keeping the lubricant aspect discreet).

Now that the first issue has been resolved, Luc has another important piece of news for Emily – he reveals that Marianne is no longer a Michelin inspector, which means Gabriel’s chances of receiving a star are slim.

Explanation of the Ending of Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 1

Still from Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 1
Netflix

Part 1 of Emily in Paris Season 4 concludes with a tragic event. Camille visits the doctor after experiencing some bleeding, and later meets up with her friend to share the heartbreaking news that she is not pregnant.

The doctor explained that the at-home pregnancy test was most likely a false negative due to the medication she is taking, and that the delay in her period could be attributed to stress. The woman expressed her deep disappointment, stating that she was convinced she was pregnant as she had been experiencing different bodily sensations.

She hasn’t told Gabriel yet, but her friend advises her to take some time for self-healing and share the news when she feels ready.

While at the restaurant, Emily informs Gabriel about Marianne. Despite his initial shock, he seizes the chance to dismiss the troublesome pastry chef. Afterwards, he treats the customers to complimentary drinks in celebration and indulges in a few drinks himself, although Emily suspects he is simply putting on a facade.

When Camille arrives, she witnesses Emily and Gabriel embracing. Despite Gabriel being visibly intoxicated, he declares that he is the luckiest man in the world with a beautiful girlfriend and a baby on the way. In her current state, Camille cannot bring herself to share the news.

Despite a staff member offering Camille a glass of champagne, she politely declines, maintaining her pretense of still being pregnant. This ongoing charade will likely be seen in Season 4 Part 2 of Emily in Paris, set to be released on September 12.

Season 4 Episode 1 of Emily in Paris is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
