Android 13 QPR3 Beta 2 is now available for Pixel phones.

Google has begun the second beta of Android 13 QPR3, the last QPR release based on Android 13. Today’s update resolves a number of issues raised by Pixel users in the previous beta, which was published two weeks ago. The most recent beta is now available on the Android Beta Program for Pixel owners.

Google distributes a newer beta with the version number T3B2.230316.003. As previously stated, the update is currently available, and the incremental beta weighs 76MB on the Pixel 6a and 92MB on the Pixel 7 Pro, according to Pixel owners. The update is based on the monthly security patch for March 2023.

The Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a (5G), Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, and Pixel 7 Pro are all eligible for the latest update.

To begin with, the new beta improves adaptive charging, resolves volume panel flickering issues, blurry issues in the system UI, an always-on display showing on apps and content after unlocking, notification shade closing immediately after opening, apps and data transfer issues during first-step, and more.

The following is a complete list of the changes that will be included in the Android 13 QPR3 beta 2 release.

  • Features
    • Improvements for Adaptive Charging that can automatically adjust to your charging needs using on-device signals.
  • Resolved Issues
    • Fixed an issue that caused the volume panel to flicker when adjusting the volume using the volume buttons.
    • Fixed an issue that caused the system UI to get stuck in a blurry state in some cases, such as unlocking the device or finishing a phone call.
    • Fixed an issue where the notification shade was closing immediately after a user opened it.
    • Fixed an issue where the always-on display was displayed over apps and other content after unlocking the device.
    • Fixed an issue where a device couldn’t copy apps and data wirelessly during first-time setup.

If your Pixel is already running a QPR build, the update will be delivered over-the-air. If you are on the stable Android 13 update, you will need to join the Android Beta Program to try out the new software. You can enroll in the beta program by going to the Android Beta Program website. Once enrolled, you will be able to update your phone to the latest Android 13 Alpha version.

You may also manually upgrade your phone to the beta by going to this page to get the factory images and this page to receive the OTA files. Before sideloading the new software, make a backup.
