Announcement: Marvel Rivals introduces Adam Warlock as a powerful new support hero

Marvel Rivals has announced that Adam Warlock will be joining the game as a strategist with the ability to revive both himself and his teammates, as demonstrated in a gameplay trailer.

Marvel Rivals has been generating excitement for its upcoming Closed Beta by featuring special skins and offering a glimpse at the new heroes joining the roster. While it was previously announced that Adam Warlock would be included in the next beta, we now have a detailed preview of his abilities in action on the battlefield, as demonstrated in a recent gameplay reveal.

Adam Warlock is primarily considered a support in his role as a Strategist. However, it should not be overlooked that his abilities not only enable him to heal both himself and his allies, but also to deal damage in order to assist the team.

One of the standout features of this hero is their ability to revive fallen allies during battle. This will surely be a familiar mechanic for experienced Overwatch players, reminiscent of the previous iteration of Mercy in Overwatch 1 before her eventual rework.

However, there is a caveat. The mechanism behind this ability is that Adam Warlock has the power to bring back fallen allies within a designated range, similar to an area-of-effect revival.

Revived teammates will return to the battle with reduced health and a brief period of invincibility.

In addition to reviving his teammates, a recent trailer has revealed that Adam Warlock also possesses the ability to bring himself back to life. In a scene from the trailer, Adam Warlock is shown becoming invincible before entering a cocoon-like state and returning to the battle after being defeated.

During his invincible phase, Adam Warlock possessed the ability to levitate and maneuver himself, giving you the power to select your desired location for revival.

It will be intriguing to witness the interaction between Adam Warlock’s mechanics and those of other heroes in the game. As the Closed Beta draws near, players who want to try him out and receive an exclusive reward must obtain their code beforehand.
